Extra 2Nd Round Pick

Carolina is basically set at almost every important position. What would they need to draft in the 1st round next year? If they are able to draft blackmond in the first, and trade next years first for a 2nd round pick this year to get a DT/CB, I think i would be ok with that. as long as the players they get are like a worthy and jenkins. I've never been in favor of trading away the 1st round pick and why would we want to trade LaFell? He's developed now and very effective in our system. Bringing in a rookie and getting rid of a young polished player doesn't make sense.

If we were one second rounder from competing for the Superbowl then it would be great, but frankly we have lots of needs and still will next year. We will need a first rounder next year just like this year. No need to give up a first rounder next year for a second rounder this year. We did that before and it didn't work out very well.
