Wait Wait Wait... Lets All Take A Moment To Laugh At The Bucs.. & While Were At It The Falcons, And Saints* Too.

As if not having the Falcons and the Saints* picking in the first round was enough of a pleasure this draft, the Buccaneers robbed THEMSELVES of one of the six elite prospects and drafted a type of safety that is slowly being phased out of the league. On top of that they TRADED up for a RB.

Bahahaha.

Lets get Jenkins and close this draft out for our NFC South brethren. We just got a 12 - 15 year stud in Kuechly and if we get Jenkins we got a potential shutdown CB if he follows and listens to his teammates as they guide him on his NFL journey.

Oh and another laugh at the Buc's picks, could it have gotten any better? They get a 4th round pick for giving up Mo Claiborne.

My sentiments exactly. I want JJ in the 2nd.

Arent you the one that started a thread about how it was an amazing connection that Andrew Luck was going to the Colts because horseshoes are considered lucky? Yea.... you were...

No I ABSOLUTELY was NOT. I'd challenge u to find it, but it doesn't exist.

That's twice you've failed in one thread.

For now I agree with OP. I texted my Buc fan buddy afterward, as much as I didn't agree with our pick at least we didn't trade ourselves out of taking Claiborne and take a Safety with a top 10 pick. Barron will be solid and all, but I think he was severely overdrafted. I don't think he's the next Polomalu or anything like some people are saying. I won't hate on the trade up for the RB, because if I recall correctly they didn't give much to move up (think it was like a 4th round pick?). They needed a RB and apparently they correctly guessed the Giants were going to take one, so they gave up a measly 4th round pick to get the one left they wanted. But still, it hasn't been a high impact draft for them so far.

So I'm sitting here watching Sports Center and on the eve of the draft spent some time reflecting on lat year, and this is what I came up with...

We'll never really know why Luck stayed at Stanford last year. We could speculate that he wanted to finish school (I don't believe this theory) or that he simply didn't want to play for the 2-14 Carolina Panthers (my theory)

Which brings me to my whole point, and I find it pretty ironic and funny.

Had Luck come out last year, he would have been in great shape, with several weapons at his disposal.

Now though, he's going to a Colts team that just got absolutely gutted! I mean they have Wayne and that's about it.

I just thought that it was pretty ironic, and I'm glad he stayed In school, after all, we have Cam. I'm really glad it worked out the way it did... I just wonder ifLuck could do it over again, I bet he would.

Oh im sorry, you're the one with abandonment issues.

Oh im sorry, you're the one with abandonment issues.

Your thread is pooty and u know it.

It's also redundant... Meaning that this is a repeat thread! The original was created more than 2 hours prior to your thread.

I guess that makes u the one with reading comprehension issues.

    • I didn't move the goal posts. But anyone who follows football who wants to engage in a rational discussion can't argue that 10 7th round picks are equal to 10 1st rounders in value. The argument has always been we haven't spent as much on defense has we have on offense. Draft picks have value just like salary. We have not spent the same amount of draft pick salary cap on defense that we have on offense since drafting Bryce. It's not even close. Just the 2 1sts we used on Bryce, 2 overall 1sts have a value of 6000. That doesn’t even factor in DJ Moore or the 2 2nds. Bryce cost more than everything we've spent on defense in 6 damn years.
    • We need to hope this scenario plays our next week he fails with pressure…what that means with Evero, is beyond me
    • Woukd be a great addition You know the issues from my prespective, 2 things the Panthers must do 1. Edge or pass rushers or 2 oline or 3 oline or as Andy Reid says, when in doubt, draft a lineman it is time   That oline is troubling plus a small person at QB  they   1. Can do a lot better than mayes at center, 2. and lewis has had injuries all season. 3. Moton should not have  been resigned long term, 4. corbett is a shadow and will probably be released  5 and Christianson coming off Achilles   6 and the kicker, would be Ickey’s contract if they decide to keep him INMO rookie and contracts will be needed to offset all that
