Rumor: Junior Seau Dead?

We shouldn't be so quick to relate this to concussions. Many have gone through depression, and never took an NFL snap in their life. Rich, poor, it doesn't matter. We all go through the same problems in these bodies. So lets hold off the concussion talk. I believe Seau was just a man going through problems in this life.

We'll find out. He was shot in his chest, leaving his brain for investigation.

Didn't he drive his car off a cliff but said it was an accident before? Not claiming to have any knowledge of what did or didn't happen previously, but I think I remember hearing about that some time ago.

yes he did. looks to be his first failed suicide attempt. i don't know why people don't just turn the gas on in their house and go to sleep. it is way more peaceful. i feel bad for the players who suffer brain trauma adding to their depression. football players sacrifice so much to be out there on the field. you have to wonder if the money and fame is worth it sometimes.

watching his mom was tough....man they should of turned off the cameras.

So true. Not very often you see something like that in such a public forum, especially in sports. Watching Marcellus Wiley on NFL32 and he is pretty ripped up, too.

It is impossible to determine anything about depression from deceased persons brain.

I study TBI for a living and can promise you there is a clear connection between multiple concussions and depression. What your doing is the equivalent of saying, "I know he smoked a pack a day, but lets not jump to conclusions and blame this lung cancer on the smoking, people get lung cancer everyday without smoking"

But, most of this discussion and "blame" can come another day. Right now, football fans everywhere should say goodbye to an amazing player that a lot of us grew up knowing.
