Off topic... I really liked that interview with Olsen where he was talking how Rivera built the defense with the bears around the two linebackers and that's what he is doing here with beason and luke great piece and got me pumped up.

Our DT's are unproven but I believe they will be improved from last season.

The only two WR's on the roster who have proven to be for sure viable receivers are Smitty and LaFell, but I believe Gettis will contribute and Barnidge will be a beast.

Out of the three people competing for the #2 CB spot, Munnerlyn is the only one who's proven anything. He proved he's a sh*tty #2 CB, and either Hogan or Norman will be an instant improvment over him no matter what, and ANYTHING to get Pugh off the field. However I wouldn't hold my breath out of hope that Munnerlyn will be benched come week one.

captain will see plenty of action this year as well. if he's not the starter, i highly doubt he will lose the nickelback job. it suits his height and his playstyle. in terms of coverage ability, he's pretty darn good, his only issue is in the vertical game and he can get flat out abused by any receiver thats 6 foot 1 or taller.

Sorry for the bump. Glad someone brought this up. This is one of those c'mon man things for me as well.

Thank God you say Corps instead of Core, I can't stand that.

Sorry for the bump. But I just saw this and had to add my two cents. This is one of those, c'mon man, things for me as well.

    • Even if he beats the odds, returns midseason  and plays like he did last year it won’t warrant a big contract extension.
    • It’ll be interesting to see how the board falls I completely agree with you on TE for us The safety from Oregon would be the cherry on top for Evero’s defense/scheme.  If a OL’men is there that you love it would be very hard to pass up. This fan base seems to just see Walker as a stop gap but I wouldn’t be so sure. He’s the same age as Ekwonu. He’s had a much more impressive career arc/progression than Icky has. He’s the better pass protector. As far as I see it if Walker has a good year I’d bring him back over Icky. Ekwonu isn’t some elite franchise LT. Playing next to Lewis is going to be great for Walker much like it has been for Icky. We definitely need to get younger/cheaper on the OL though so for this reason alone it’s still top of my list come round 1 if board falls this way  Could also use another corner with Mike Jackson’s deal up after this season and needing a nickel but Corey Thornton looked really good in that role in the limited time we got to see him. However he’s coming off an achillies injury and you never know with those.  Then as mentioned above we do still have a need at WR. As far as “weapons” go it’s kind of a 2 man show with Tmac and Coker and neither is a burner. If Jordan Tyson is there at 19 and we can have a young WR group locked up for cheap that’s a huge advantage cap wise  And don’t forget linebacker. That clip in Devin’s Lloyd blueprint they used from Evero saying they need more intelligence there could’ve been left out for Wallace’s sake but it’s true. Wallace is lost in coverage. Pair a smart linebacker with Lloyd and that’s a group with Wallace and Cherelus being depth
