A New Era For The Bobcats? Can It Happen Tonight?

I don't see Beal at all. He shot 44% from the field and 33% from the three point line. First of all we already have Henderson who is averaging 15 points a game and have Kemba at point guard. We need a power forward or center not another guard. The best choice for the Cats is Robinson who averaged almost 18 points and 12 rebounds for Kansas. He may not be Davis but he is the next best thing. If they want to pick a hometown boy they could go for Barnes given he would have been a potential number 1 pick last year. If they decide to pick up a center then the guys is Andre Drummond.

But if you want points and a good presence in the paint, then Robinson is the best choice by far..................

I love Robinson but he's only 6'9 and that makes you really short in the front court. With him and Bismack. While he will be good he has a low celling. We've needed a center for a long time. We got killed on the boards and Bismack was the only defense we had on tghe inside. We need to get him some help fast.

I would love a center also but other than Drummond there isn't a guy who is better than who we have which is sad to say unless you went with Zeller or someone like that. The problem with Drummond is that he is still raw and despite his size not very aggressive on the offensive end but is a good defensive player. He could be an excellent long term project with high potential but won't improve the team in the next year or two scoring points. Robinson would give us instant offense and could help defend the backside. I think his ceiling is actually pretty high and he is the best player who could help us next year. if you are looking at 2 or 3 years down the road then I would go with Drummond.

Then again if we were going with Drummond, Patrick Ewing should still be in the running for head coach.

One of the knocks that I've heard about Drummond is that he's uncoordinated, but I heard a few analyst say the same thing about Davis going into the season.

Hopefully his workouts are helping his body control. The weight loss thing is good too.

Here is an analysis that says he is very coordinated and athletic. He is still very young and raw so he will get much better.

We are looking at 2-3 years down the road. No matter who we get we will still be picking high. Might as well get a guy who could develop into being the top Center in the league in a few years.

Also people thought it would take Cam 2-3 years also.

Did you say the same when the Panthers put up that pathetic season in '10? The Panthers haven't exactly been a bright spot in Charlotte. You know with our 4 winning seasons in 16 seasons. It's ok with me, though. I support both teams hard because they're Carolina, regardless of very few winning seasons by both squads.

Anyways, I'm warming up to Drummond, but I really like Beal.

John Fox didn't have his son coaching the Panthers half the season. Marty Hurney didn't insert his son into the starting lineup. The Panthers played hard throughout the 2010 season, they just stunk. The Bobcats didn't have talent OR effort. The Panthers have had some tough seasons but the Bobcats literally had the single worst season by win % in NBA history. The level of fail and embarrassment is extreme. In 7 seasons the Bobcats have had one damned All star and they traded him away for a nobody just to clear salary. The embarrassment far exceeds anything the Panthers have ever done to Charlotte. The Panthers have sporadic peaks the Bobcats made the playoffs once and got swept. It's a gd joke and we are the butt of it.

The Bobcats also had no offseason (meaning no Summer League) and short TC that hurt the young players who got most of the playing time. Injuries to there top 3 scores. Was already the worst roster in the league.

Jordan and the FO said before the season that the team would take a few steps back. He didn't want to get stuck in the 8th-9th-10th best team in the east trap where if you make the playoffs you get sweep out a week later. You have to suck to get a chance at a star They made the right move.

When you were battling to be the last team in the playoffs 2 steps back means really bad.

MKG, Robinson or Drummond.

And when will people start knowing that Henderson SUCK! Dude is athletic but terrible. We could've had Jrue Holiday instead but another terrible move by MJ. I hate Hendo.

Nobody can tell me the lottery wasn't decided when Benson bought the Hornets. What it does tell me is Mikhail Prokhorov isn't liked by Stern, otherwise he'd have gotten a top 3 pick. I'm not one for conspiracy, but the NBA does stink to high heaven of corruption. I was really hoping to be proven wrong, but two situations that just happen to fit the interests and needs of the NBA in two years is too much.
