The thing is that I totally would would put Cam in my top 3, just because of the things he can do that pretty much nobody else can.

Rodgers

Brees

Newton

Brady.

really, Cam Newton above Tom Brady? Right now?

I mean, Cam is a monster...but he is raw. He isn't in Brady's company

top 3 right now is a bit of a stretch. That's some elite air.

He certainly has the tools and potential to BE top 3, deserves all the press he's getting, and is in the upper part of the list right now to be sure. There are some things that have to get better and the performance has to be over a longer period of time before I'd put him in that category though.

I know it's crazy, and it's mostly just the homer in me.

But I think Cam has every thing you need to be the greatest of all time and it's only a matter of time. And Cam can do things that Brady can only dream of doing, that's what separates him for me.

Cam has the potential....

Cam can do things Brady can't

Brady right now is a better QB by a fair margin. Also, don't forget Brady had more yardage, more TDs, better comp%, QB rating in 2011. NE also had the 31st ranked D and Brady's team went to the Superbowl. I mean, Brady along with Brees BOTH broke Marinos passing record this year...and Brady already has a resume that makes him a HOF lock without this past season

No trust me I get that argument.

My argument though is solely the Quarter Back position. Brady has a hell of a team and a hell of a coaching staff. I think we have the right guys too but everyone was only in their first year and coming out of the lockout.

When you look at just Brady Vs. Newton, Cam's got the bigger arm and the mobility. Their leadership and accuracy are neck and neck, already IMO.

Cam really likes Brady and strives to be like him.

I really believe Cam is everything that Trent Dilfer stated in that long speech at that breakfast club thing. Biggest, fastest, strongest guy with as strong of an arm you'd ever seen, an immense work ethic and most importantly, an undeniable desire to win and simply be the best.

Honestly from what I'd heard about Cam's training and study since season's end, the guy might be a little... crazy. Obsessive would probably be a better word, it's not a bad kind of crazy.

Their accuracy isnt neck and neck....nor is there ability to disect Ds....nor there play in the 2nd half.

Cam is a monster. He is too raw to be in Brady's league. What separates Brady is from the neck up.

Cam has years to go to be a Brady. Cam

Newton has all the physical tools and more....but it takes more than that.

Cam played fine in the second half when our run game actually started working, and we won games. When we are trying to sustain a lead, we need some form of a run game to control the clock and manage long drives.

IDK if Cam is YEARS away from brady. Most of Cam's inaccurate passes were from silly footing mistakes, and the kid is coachable. In terms of decision making (aka, knowing where to throw the ball) cam was generally spot on.

We'll see though. My personal prediction is Cam's rushing TDs drops, yardage drops, pass % increases, pass TD increase and 3rd down % increases.

Cam and the offense disappeared and struggled in the 3rd Q.

Cam is years from being a HOF lock and one of the greatest to of ever played the game. That is Brady....and he is still going strong

definitely not top three.

but of the top three he listed, two of them are only a few seasons away from retirement. it's not a stretch to see cam consistently in that list after this season if he maintains his level of play.
