Top 25 in NFCS

I bet you he will put Asante Samuel on that list also. I thought I remember reading a while back on here that Gamble was a top 3 cornerback stat-wise this past season but I'm not positive.

PFF posted a good article showing that opposing quarterbacks throwing at gamble had a passer rating of like 53.3 compared to 45.6 for darelle revis. basically gamble was no worse than 4th in any of the metrics they covered:

that's in the entire league. he had a nasty 2011 and it's criminal that he wouldn't be included.

If Gamble was on a winning team, he'd get more respect from "experts" and fan bases.

Or maybe if he had a fat ass loud mouthed coach constantly lauding him as the greatest thing that ever happened to football...

Every time Revis wants a new contract (every 3 months or so), Rex Ryan has only himself to blame. Every time Rexy opens his mouth, he gives Revis and his agent all the leverage in the world. Revis' agent must love him some Rex Ryan.

Link I provided said Samuel didn't make the list either.

I was going to post something along those lines as well. Gamble needs a fat HC who loves feet to get his name out there.

gamble is by far the best cb in the NFCS. i'd even argue that last year he played as the second best corner in the NFC behind woodson.

Gamble is not far the best CB in the NFCS....not with Asante Samuel now in the division. Also, Gamble is inconsistant year to year. 2011 Gamble doesn't show up every season.

I bet there will be some rookies on the list. Tamba Bay will def have more than 3 people on the list. For one thing being a division blogger is a highly political position. If he doesn't keep the spread close the Tampa fans will harass him. Also they signed Nicks and Jackson that should be locks.

considering we are no longer wasting his skill set and having him play zone 60% of the time i think he'll be plenty consistent until age hits him.

    • lol, that second part is quite literally one of the dumbest things ever. Having or not having guaranteed contracts has absolutely nothing to do with how much these billionaires have to pay.  Because there is a hard cap and a minimum cap spend requirement, and teams either use their cap or roll it over to use it all the next year, so the owners have to pay the same amount of money in the end no matter what. Having fully guaranteed contracts in the NFL would only hurt salary cap management, and thus would end up screwing over the team and its fan base when teams kiss on signings as they take up cap room that is needed to improve the roster. Look at the Browns with Watson, they gave him the fully guaranteed deal and all it’s doing is sucking up massive cap space now.  If they hadn’t done that, the owner would still be paying the same amount of money each year as that cap space would still be used elsewhere. If you want to argue for fully guaranteed contracts because the players deserve it, that’s an entirely different argument and a fair one to discuss.  But anyone against fully guaranteed deals isn’t doing it to argue for the billionaire owners.

    • Ryabkin could be the steal of the draft, he was a Top 10 pick heading into last season and had a rough year.  Lots of GMs passed on him because of that and his workouts. Pick has really high upside and Svech should be able to translate Rod tearing his arse a new one for making dumb plays since Svech has had several years of it.  🤣😂
