Doing 100 pushups in a row is no joke.

Most I've been able to get is like 48...  the burn gets to me.

I usually do 5 sets of 20 supersetted with some abs at the end of chest day.

Yeah I'm a little concerned that it has me doing the 100 in just over two weeks from now.  I'm just startng week 5 of the program and this is what the last workout looked like.

Week  Day     Total reps                      5 sets

Feb 23, 2014       4        3            132                    24,28,22,24,34

Its crazy how it has you doing the most push ups on the last set!  Makes it very tough.

Happy international chest day!

I'm doing legs today.  I like doing leg day on ICD so I can avoid the crowd at the benches.  hopefully the squat racks won't be filled with curlbros.

lol

I did legs yesterday and there was a guy I know working out in there doing curls in the squat rack...  I didn't say anything to him... but thought about it...

Not doing chest today either... Mondays are nuts right now...

I could do 100 in a row up until a few years ago. I guess not being able to do it now coincides with me leaving active duty military life.

I remember when I first joined, I struggled to get over 45-50. All I did to improve was set my hourly beep on my wrist watch and did 25 on the hour, every hour. In a few months I was maxing my PT tests. Not long after, I was hitting 100.

I did chest today, but then again I went at like 10:45, so there wasn't a lot of traffic.  I also started doing legs three days a week.  The girlfriend likes to pick on my bird legs, so I'm paying extra attention to them.  My body chemistry just does not produce weight in my legs, so they are relatively smaller.  Then again, I'm not a big guy to begin with.  Got some good chest work in, as well as leg presses, calves, and deadlifts.  I'll probably do some squats on Wednesday, along with more calves, and save my second set of deadlifts for Friday, when I do more legs . . .  Right now I'm more about cardio, so I'm doing supersets with lighter weights.  I'll probably slow it down next week, though, and really concentrate on slower reps with more resistance.

Cheers, y'all.

Story from yesterday... was too much to type on the phone...

So me and my buddy are on the shoulder press machine...  I see this kid come over, probably 19-20... not sure... kind of stares at me...

When we got on the machine, there were already plates on it... we didn't think much of it, because as 88 says, most people just leave their poo everywhere...

So he's like staring at me, and I just kept working out...

Well we're about 3 sets in and he walks over and wants to know... "hey, can we share?"  We're like... uhh what?  You mean you want to work in?

"yeah, yeah..."

So we agree, and he sits down...

After messing with his phone... he does a full set... like 20 reps... messes with his phone some more... does 20 more reps... messes with his phone AGAIN... then does like 10 more...

He gets up (I was about to say, OK dude, gtfo...) and says, "OK, thanks..." and walks off

There's like 200 people in there, and he's going around to diff machines, doing longs sets and leaving the weights on....   he had been giving me the stink eye because we had gotten on that machine while he was doing something else...

People kill me.

    • Yep. I was hoping for and calling for a day three guy. But I didn’t research the position to say if we should or should‘t have jumped at a particular guy at a particular spot.    And everything I read said it was a poor draft for RBs depth wise. I guess when Seattle takes a backup RB in the 1st, that kind of backs that up.    I definitely think we should keep 4 running backs and if King can play well enough then keep him too.    I believe I heard Canales say we are a running team (talking about drafting a WR he will be needing to block as well as catch). Well if we are gonna be a running team by identity we don’t need to stock the WR room to overflowing. If one room has to sacrifice, it should not be the RB room given our circumstances.
    • If there's a pattern I'm definitely picking up from Dan and company is a philosophy of making trades where we try not to sacrifice the number of draft picks we have by day's end. In other words, we're not giving up three picks for one, or giving up a future pick to make a pick today. And even if we give up something at the start, we make trades later to make up for that initial loss. Here's how it stacked up for 2026: How we started: 19, 51, 83, 119, 158, 159, 200 How we ended: 19, 49, 83, 129, 144, 151, 227 (no future picks sacrificed) Ultimately, we moved up two spots in the second to ensure we got someone we coveted, gave up a few spots for our fourth round pick, but then had better picks in the 5th (and got really good value out of them), and had a worse 7th rounder which isn't that big of a loss anyways.  At this point, we can question who they draft, but they're pretty good maneuvering across the draft board.
    • I just saw the funniest thing...or very disappointing, depending how you handle misery. A guy on YouTube did a 2027 'way too early' mock draft.  If I told you the simulator has the Panthers selecting in the top 10 , what would you say?  If I told you it was pick #8 and only two QBs were taken in the top 7, what would you say?  If I told you this dude had us taking a defensive player, what would you say?
