Brett Favre to meet with the Vikings

Does no one else remember that doctors recommend he have surgery on his throwing arm bicep if he wanted to play QB again? He decided not to since all he was going to be doing was riding a tractor in Louisianna... is that just going to go away because old gray beard wants it to?

Word is he is going to have it operated on before this season.

Guess what?

He will miss mini camp and most of training camp.

But it's not about him.

I thought only I saw the remarkable similarity between beloved pal of Elmo Mr. Noodle and Vikings head coach Brad Childress.

Apparently a Milwaukee TV station was aware too.

Please Mr. Noodle.....sign Brett Favre. He'll be your Oscar the Grouch, I promise.

PFT compared him to Gerald McRaney too.

Pretty sure "Mr. Noodle" is dead.

    • No one way to do it, it does appear that with the bigger draft picks of the last 5 years…..majority haven’t steered clear of young QBs on the roster being their hopeful guy. Especially past their rookie seasons but even some the biggest ones have had it early.   As far as Andy Dalton, the two young guys he has “mentored”…..have had very rough NFL starts.  Which really ask the why the heck is Dalton here.   He doesn’t really check any box.  No young potential.  Can’t step in and win.  And his mentor track record with Fields and now Bryce is bad
    • I had thought the Panthers might let him play out his contract this year and hope he stays healthy. If not draft a left tackle and move Ekwonu to right tackle.
    • Frankly, if most teams in the NFL lose their starting QB for a significant amount of time, they're screwed. The fantasy is that one has a future Tony Romo or a Nick Foles that can carry a stacked team. The reality is that you might get roughly 3~5 games out of your backup before it all falls apart. Remember all of Peyton Manning's backups? Utterly terrible. Speaking of backup QB's, Raiders may need one. https://www.nfl.com/news/raiders-qb-aidan-o-connell-suffered-fractured-wrist-in-preseason-finale-expected-to-be-out-6-8-weeks
