That is what the sportsbooks have us at. We are -135 for the over and +115 for the under. So they like us at 7 or 8 wins. Doesnt look like a bad deal to me at all. What do you guys think about this? New Orleans is set at 10, Atlanta at 9 and Tampa at 6. Philly is set at 10 and Dallas is at 8.5. Minnesota is at 6 for perspective.

Basically a straight +100 or -100 means the payout is even. The team that is favored will be the minus and the underdog will be the plus. So in this case the -135 is a ratio. If they are -200 they will pay out 1 to 2 or 50 dollars on 100 dollars. So -135 is like one third of the way between 50 and one hundred dollars. It is easy to think of it in terms of betting 100 dollars. If you bet one hundred dollars on the Panthers to go over 7.5 wins you would get about 70 dollars. If you bet on them to go under you would get 115 dollars for a 100 dollar bet. So the casino is saying that the Panthers are a slight favorite to go over 7.5 wins, but +115 against -130 is basically a toss up in sports betting.

I think that the line is pretty low. I would be willing to bet we go over 7.5 wins.

      Everybody made too much of that. The CBA and the 17 game schedule is what kills the cohesion we see in teams across the league in the opening games.  You decide, look at your depth and make informed decisions there or you get a an extra quarter or whatever two quarters with your ones.  Teams that are set don’t have those openings as much down the roster to evaluate but that ain’t everybody. It is quandary. I think they need that 4th preseason game back. But as I said, I don’t lay that as the excuse for Bryce to come out looking like he does to start seasons. He has an entire camp.

      Hey I said the 1pm west coast team, I said the up down up down and we were due for the up week.  You can’t know what is going to happen. There was a guy that detailed why the league would engineer a Panthers win to bring LA Rams back to the pack in conference standings.  Who really knows, and how much real belief do you have when citing these things? I generally have as much as my superstition allows. It rarely rises to an emotional experience. Usually it is more analytical. In terms of interest. When crazy poo happens and we win a game like today I for sure enjoy it.  I mean you have to think about it, how many times do you connect 2 4th and short situations for TDs? Who does that? That is like the most embarrassing thing for the Rams’ defense lol. That never happens and should never happen.  Expecting it to happen might not be a good plan. But it was pretty great

      The defense has mostly stuck to the "break slowly" and get a turnover or two still zero pass rush
