Off to surgery!

I'm told this will be a very painful recovery, but I'm really looking forward to the end result. By comparison this is a pretty minor surgery, which is alright by me. Hopefully this is a step in the right direction towards a happier, healthier me.

This is four procedures that I can't list individually. The gist is fixing my deveated septum and taking out my huge tonsils.

Any prayers are appreciated, I'll be back once the meds have worn off a bit.

Thanks all!

"suck it up buttercup" you asked for the surgery.

No seriously though, I had the same procedure for the deviated septum last year. Recovery was a little painful. Definitely don't post on the meds. My wife said that i was having crazy conversations with her and I had no recollection of any of them.

The little water bottle apparatus they give you is $$$$$$$! When you can use it make sure that you do. It feels great and releases the pressure. The bad part is that you'll flush out your nose and then like 30 min you'll bend over for something and water will still pour out of your nose.

Be advised, that your voice is going to change. About a week after my surgery I started calling people that I had known for years and they didn't even recognize my voice. Pretty weird. My wife never noticed it but she was there every day, so it probably changed little by little. Just a heads up.

You'll be able to actually smell everything, and you'll be able to taste your food every time!!!! This was the best thing I ever decided to do. I hope you have a speedy recovery. Expect to be in pain for the first two days. Lots of pressure, I had two black eyes as well. I looked like someone beat my ass. But it will go away.

A week later you'll go back for a follow up. Surprise... They will numb your nose airways again and then pull out some gauze that you probably didn't even know was there...My dr never told me they were doing that or maybe they did, and I was just too medicated. You're gonna be super high when they finally let you leave. When you're coherent enough, ask your wife about the crazy stuff that you will undoubtedly say. It's funny poo. About 2 weeks later, From that point fwd, it's like you're a new man!

Congrats and best wishes for a speedy recovery. I still have my tonsils, so I can't help you out there.

    • The lack of discipline has seriously been our downfall the last month. Seems like we just went off course this last month and Lee won't address it. You can't just live and die by the 3 when you can attack the paint and at worst draw a foul
    • Great season regardless of what happens. From starting out 4-14 to ending 44-38 is incredible progress and future is bright from here. I do think we can beat the Heat and then win on the road against either Orlando or Philly assuming Embiid doesn’t miraculously return sooner. But if not, a higher draft pick is nice too
    • I know a DT that's asking for a trade: 🤔 maybe a home discount can be worked out. Dan Morgan could create up to $80 million in space through restructures of stars like Derrick Brown, Jaycee Horn, or Taylor Moton. They could also include players like Tershawn Wharton ($18.6M cap hit) in the trade to balance the salaries. Carolina Receives: DT  Dexter Lawrence II New York Receives: 2026 2nd Round Pick (No. 51 Overall): A premium Day 2 selection that fits the for  Lawrence  after his 0.5-sack season in 2025. WR  Xavier Legette : A young, high-upside receiver who provides the playmaking depth HC John Harbaugh needs for his offense. 2026 4th Round Pick: Immediate mid-round value. 2027 4th Round Pick (via MIN): Future capital acquired in the  Adam Thielen  trade.  ----- Stone Forsythe* (another young player as a potential trade option)provides immediate offensive line retooling for HC John Harbaugh.    John Harbaugh's history in Baltimore proves he values draft volume over individual superstars.    Just my 2cents
