Panthers could be most used team in Madden

I have played solely with the Panthers ever since Madden 2003 when it first went online with the PS2. I will not switch and yes there will be a lot of peeps using the Panthers this year because of the Cam effect. The same with the Redskins because of RG3, but Panthers will get more play.

Are the Carolina player ratings out?

they have released everyone's overalls except for defensive rookies for some reason. some notables:

Cam is an 89 OVR

Beast is a 93

CJ is a 91, as is Gamble

Smitty is a 95

d'lo and stew are 84's i believe and Tolbert is an 89 as a FB.

Here's the link to the full player ratings if anyone's interested: http://web-vassets.ea.com/Assets/Resources/File/MADDEN13_RATINGS_REVEAL_ALL.xlsx

And for those Excel n000bzz out there...if you wanna sort it by Team (so you can check out all the Panthers together), go to "Sort & Filter" at the top right -> Custom sort -> Sort by TEAM (scroll up to the very top).

I'm still upset about Cam's deep ball.....75 OVR is a joke. Let's take a look at some of the guys with better deep accuracy than Cam (from a Madden perspective of course): TJ Yates, Ryan Lindley (rookie 6th round draft pick for the Cardinals), Terrell Pryor, John Skelton, The Golden Calf of Bristol, Andy Dalton, Brock Osweiler, Brandon Weeden, Josh Freeman...and whose company does he join among the 75 Deep Accuracy club? Ryan Tannehill, Jason Campbell, and Chad Henne. Those are apparently his equals with regards to deep passes.

Joe Adams with 90 speed is pretty disappointing too...when it comes to ratings like speed, acceleration, and strength, the Combine is the BIBLE. It's pure laziness...there's no watching tape to see a player's game speed or any of that. It all comes down to one sub-5 second event.

I think McClain and Fua are both at like 85-90 block shedding which is pretty damn generous lol, so I'll take the good with the bad I guess.

Josh Norman man coverage is a 84. THANK GOD i will not have to start Captain.

Yeah, only 85 speed though...which is a huge limitation in Madden. Captain's speed actually went up between Madden 12 and Madden 13, he's at a solid 90 now. Not saying I'm gonna start Captain over Norman...but for speedier receivers, I'd definitely have to consider it.

That's just such horseshit. I'm sorry, but I'm tweaking his deep ball to like a 90.

I have the season ticket. To tell you the truth its the same old crap. Panthers around 76 overall which isn't really good enuff to be played seriously in real competition. Cam is great but lafell has boo boo hands and will drop everything. The Wr corp. is not very good outside Steve Smith who is great, but madden has never been nice to 5'9 wrs who feed off the deep ball. No one hardly ever beats the jam which really hurts on must have downs. The defense is improved but don't look to just win with flat out good play calling. Munn is the whipping boy and get beaten almost every single down i have played with him.

Norman is a monster if he gets his hands on it, its as good as picked off. I think he has like 78 catch.

With that said the 85-86 speed is enuff to not want him on the outside. I can remember playing last night and victor cruz destroyed him pretty much every chance he wasn't in zone coverage. Gamble is a great. No complaints about him, which is great because he does his job without me having to babysit him(see munn quote). Charles Johnson is pretty much what you expect him to be. 7 times out of 10 if you hear sack on the play its King Charles.

Backs are as advertised but, the offensive line isn't as good as it's been in years past. if you hit auto reorder amini isn't even in the starting rotation. They take him out for pollack. Also Byron Bell gets the boot for Gary Williams. Madden has not done us panther fans any favors this year. hopefully we win a few early and our ratings increase. I don't think you will have many people beating down the door to play with us after the game has been out a few weeks.

Yeah I forgot they gave LaFell 80 catching...he had some of the best hands in the league last year.

Another positive though is that Beason is still a 95 injury. I know last year was a fluke since he never missed a game in his career before that, but I still expected Madden to freak out and drop him 10-15 points.

    • Not in same league. Caldwell just hit a 10.00 on the RAS. 2nd out of 3830 from 1987 onward.  https://x.com/MathBomb/status/2027885023387349047 Yeah I mean Louis had a sub 9.00 RAS. Still very very good, no doubt. Louis is small, no 2 ways about it. He is likely a sub package lb in nickel packages or specialized WLB. Be fine ST gunner to start for sure. 6 foot flat and 220lb is pushing it for a starting LB. At 10 to 20lbs less than the other LBs he'd better be closer to the top in most timed drills. He's gonna be challenged when some of the wrs in the class can matchup bigger stronger faster, much less TE in the run game.  Yeah instinct matter and he has them, but that size is a massive red flag compared to many of the other LBS in this class.    Rodriguez is the LB that really climbed this week from a pure grit guy to great flash with athleticism people wrote off cause he was a QB at first at UVA. 18.4mph in the backpedal. Production the last 2 years were great. I'd be thrilled with him as the future mike.   Hill likely moved out of 51 and into the top 45 picks ( Ravens at 45 I can't imagine don't bite if he makes it there). Honestly Hill imo is a 1st rounder and I'd be ok with him as he fits the MLB we have missed the last few years. People would crow it's a reach but he's top 30 all-time I'm RAS for a LB at 9.9+ . Plus he was big time in big games when he was healthy. And that br a big check: meds.
    • Miller, Melo, Coby, Moose, and Bridges all on the floor at the same time must be a nightmare for defenses lol. Switch one out for Kon and still a nightmare. Coby really does bring a true 6th man value and looks like he could start if Melo was out after only a few games of getting his feet wet.
