Madden 13 blows 2/10 would not play

Im a big Madden fan, but I have to say im disappointed at this years game. The Panthers didnt even change the jerseys just a new logo so how the heck did they get the 2012 ones so wrong? If you want the right one you have to use 2011.

The demo plays way better then the real game, the tackles are nowhere as good as in the demo its like all 1-on-1 tackles in the real game and no one wraps up on tackles but the demo was way better. I think thats why im upset couse its like they gave you one thing in the demo then the game comes out and its worse. Dont even try to run the ball run blocking is very bad.

On replays your screen rocks back and forth and its kinda weird and you cant turn it off, also the COM goes for it on 4th alot and im playing the Saints* last night and 2 time they passed it to Graham and he just stood there waiting 2 get hit.

Also why does Amini Silatolu have long hair? Its not hard to look at guys pics and make them right, wow I know this reveiw makes it sound like im not a fan but I was out at 11:30 last night waited in line becouse I thought this would be the one to make-up for the others... I was wrong

btw all this after only playing 4 games, 2 last night and 2 this morning..

I'm always disappointed in Madden every year. This year is no different. But the sad reality is you either protest the game or you just get over the flaws.

With that said. Luke and Norman are beast. Norman has a 78 catch rating as a rookie. Higher than a lot of the Panthers offensive specialist. I'm gonna test a defense out with Luke in the middle flanked by Beas and Davis.

The main thing that pisses me off is the ratings. LaFell's speed is still that of a TE at 86. Donny Moore can't give a brother an 88, at the least?

Then the rosters are already supposed to have been updated, yet I'm still stuck with Mare's weak ass on the team. I fully expect Donny Moore to add Medlock next week with 88 KPW because he doesn't know anything about our team, OR he just doesn't like us.

Cam only has an 80 on DAC... SMH... Let's take a look at RG3's or Luck's. Norman with 84 speed. Nakamura with the same. I hate that sh*t. Each should at least have an 88, and say what you will, but that is a huge difference. Offensive line is spotty - each new starter is rated extremely low - like 73.

Oh, and the kicker... Denagelo loses YET ANOTHER point from his speed at 29 years old, despite still averaging over 5 ypc. That's why Donny Moore is a douche. There was no reason to take a point away from his speed, yet he continues to show his inner-hater when it comes to us. I'm telling you, I can't put up with much more of this crap. Having one guy assign ratings skewed by his own biases is ruining the game. They should base it off relevant info and statistics - until a guy shows that he has fallen off the old guy cliff, leave him alone. IDIOTS.

The game itself, ehhh, I love the new engine and the look and feel, but it will take some getting used to. At times, it feels extremely clumsy and clunky. In the passing game, the defenders get very little time to adjust. The control seems way to sensitive to even the slightest tap on the left analog. In career mode, my guy keeps making me guide him to the punt or kickoff manually, which in years past was easy, it would feel like the player would lock into the catching area once you put him there. This year, its an accomplishment to even get him there... And when I have he muffed about 3 in a row one game.

Our jerseys look like the generic knockoffs you'd find at a Maxway or Dollar General. I know Feldman said the black pants were gone when he previewed it, but I wonder why? I was hoping he just made a mistake, but he didn't, they're not there.

I don't know, I like the feel of what's going on, on the field that is. But, it definitely is in need of some tuning.

    • I thought he had a few really nice flashes.  I can see him showing out this year
    • I have heard that before--when standing in front of a full body mirror at Old Navy.  I said it, actually. Seriously, Let's go on what we know. There is reason for optimism that exceeds random opinions and negativity: 1. Last year, the offense was the priority and the interior offensive line was the focal point. Morgan addressed it in free agency and the draft. They improved.  2.  Last year, Canales pulled Young after 2 games and replaced him with an established veteran.  Instead of giving up on Young, he developed him, primarily focusing on his footwork and timing.  Continued development in his fundamentals should result in improved play.  (this is significant because some athletes rely on natural ability and do not adapt well.  They resort to old habits. This means that Bryce is "teachable" and is willing to face adversity and fight through it.  That is what you want in a QB.) 3. Morgan drafted a raw talent at WR; and we all knew he was raw.  Huddlers are already calling it a bust, but his productivity numbers were in line with the other WRs drafted around where he was drafted.  So, yes, he was a bit disappointing, but what part of "Raw" is not understood here?  Evil Bryce, then inconsistent Dalton, then good Bryce--all while facing the top defensive backs--and let's not forget about his lingering injuries--and we should understand XL's productivity.  Morgan was looking for a home run based on XL's 1-season productivity and his freakish athleticism, but I always thought we would not know what we have until year 2.  TMac alone will make XL better--a solid #2. 4.  If you blame Morgan for drafting XL, you must give him credit for making Coker a priority free agent.  In my view, he addressed WR in 2024 pretty effectively in the long view.  5.  Let's look at the rest of the draft.  Brooks?  The best RB in the draft in round 2?  Morgan was attempting to build a solid run game behind Bryce.  Wallace was a very solid third round pick at LB. Sanders is a strong TE for a fourth round pick. 6.  Not much is being said about the development of Chau Smith-Wade.  His improvement mirrors Bryce Young's, actually.  In his first 8 games, his PFF rating was 36.5.  In the final 9 games, his PFF rating was 66.7.   7.  With so many needs, Morgan hit the UDFA market with success. In addition to Coker, Demani Richardson got 400+ snaps and had a 60.1 PFF grade, including an interception. 8.  In free agency, Morgan spent big bucks on Guards, a move that made his QB better. He added David Moore, Nijman,  He signed Clowney, Wonnum, Robinson, Jewel, Chaisson, Fuller, Scott, D. Jackson, Dionte Johnson, etc.  A few years of Fitterer left him with more holes that players.  Some did not work out, but he did all this on a budget (after he splurged on Lewis and Hunt).  It is hard to get a free agent to come to a team that loses--so in some cases, Morgan had to overpay or accept questionable players. Morgan's first year as a GM demonstrated an understanding of the game like we have not seen since Polian, before his lost it. Canales, on the other hand, should be rated by the improvement of players.  Zavala, Ekwonu, Mays, Young, Smith-Wade, Coker, Wallace--all improved.  He had to overcome major losses such as D. Brown, Shaq, Dionte Johnson, Corbett--and we saw growth.  Despite all this team went through, after 8 games of disarray, This team finished 4-5 with close losses to both Super Bowl teams.  Frankly, I do not know how he did it. This year was better.  The WR room is solid with depth.  The OL room is solid with depth.  The TE room is as good as it has been in a while.  The RB room has the potential to be as good as it was when we had 28 and 34.  DBs?  Better.  DL?  Better.  Edge?  better.  The bottom of the roster?  Much better. We really don't know what we have yet, and that makes this offseason exciting.
