I was attacked at work today

By a 2 year old intact Boxer.

He turned on me. One minute he was a happy sweet super rambunctious dogi that to a vicious animal that wanted to eat my face. He ate my right hand and arm pretty good because I blocked my face with my hands. He stopped after I turned my back on him several times and kicked him away. I had to go to urgent care and get stitched up. I'm bruised up pretty bad too.

This is a first for me. Ive never been attacked by any animal and pride myself for being able to be loving and receive love from unfriendly animals. I'm so angry that this has happened and I blame the owner for being irresponsible for not having him neutered and trained.

I'm sad for him because they may have him put down.

Dan is pissed because I don't have some sort of protection at work to prevent this.

On a side note we have a gorgeous German shepherd who gives the best hugs and kisses. She's a sweetheart. I can't wait to go to work in the morning to see her before she goes home.

If you can manage to insist the dog not be put down, I say try for that. Animals are not humans that you can count on all the time. They are not computers you can program easily. They are ANIMALS. Things like this happen and it sucks. Heal up and move on.

Damn it girl. Don't they keep muzzles on them?

Hope you recover quickly. I had a boxer before and had friends with boxers and they are the most playful and gentle dogs I've encountered.

I saw 3 boxers yesterday who were well balanced dogs. Then this one who was bat poo crazy.

Sorry to hear that - I cant believe that the dog has never shown agression around the owner before - if the owner didnt warn you it is his fault not the dog - Id sue the friggin dumb ass owner.
