Did the Bucs scout us @ IMG?

I know I'm probably going to catch hell for this, but am I the only person wondering if the Bucs scouted us a little @ IMG?

It was a lackluster performance yesterday, but there were more than a few plays on offense where it seemed like the Bucs were in the huddle with us...

You've gotta figure that IMG is crawling with employees that are Bucs fans, wonder if any of them were spying on us and sharing info with the Bucs?

Possible, but as Dpanhterman says, anything is... I'm sure this has been discussed ad naseum in other threads that I'm not even gonna open, but it looked to me like their game plan was simply superior to ours and they had a lot more fire going into the game.

Of course, due to the dumbasses at Fox we here in Wilmington missed the entire first quarter watching every last fuging second of the NO - WSH game... so I can't say what the start of the game looked like.

I didn't wonder this until you said it but, I was saying during the chat yesterday that it just seemed ridiculous, like they knew what we were going to run before we ran it.

Just seemed too easy for them, and Chud even tried stuff we didn't run a lot last year. I remember they had the double screen perfectly defended and everytime we tried to run the option they killed it. And Schiano seems like a dirtbag, so it wouldn't surprise me. It's not like they shut down all of IMG just because we were staying there.

Still goes on Rivera, IMO.

The difference was this...

We claim to run an attacking-style offense and defense that dictates the action rather than react to it. Well, yesterday, the Bucs proved they were better at executing that style of play than we were, and that is what is so troubling considering they have a 1st year coach who has mostly worked in college.

Yeah, even if they did scout us the coaching staff failed to make enough adjustments.

Dear Cat Man72,

Yeah, IMG may be crawling with Bucs fans and employees of our team, and certainly, they may have recording devices like that which is available on a typical android smartphone which would generate an audio or video file depending on which program you use.

I can assure you, I authorized no recording of our practices, even if my mentor is the Patriots head coach, Bill whom is notorious for filming everything to include his preparation of TV dinners.

    • PJ's completion % was 63% when starting games in Carolina.  Which I believe is better than Bryce when starting.  And again, 4-3 as the starter here and the LONE QB Carolina has been able to actually win with in the Tepper era.  If you ask a gambling gunslinger to come into blowouts.....they are going to go down in a blaze of glory.  Which he would do.  Yeah, he isn't good.  And gunslingers are supposed to have rockier stats than checkdown QBs.   So....why does PJ Walker have a better comp % as a starter than Bryce Young.  And for every knock you want to make about PJ, you can find something or a skillset that PJ does better than Bryce.   I didn't say PJ had good field vision.  He doesn't.  Tell me about Bryce after he comes off the first read lol.  Let me repeat, PJ Walker is not a good QB.  He is NFL depth and an in house arm.  Bryce Young doesn't belong in a convo w/ Jake and Cam.  He belongs closer in a convo with the backup caliber QBs Carolina was forced into playing.  Which isn't just PJ Walker.  But Kyle Allen.  Moore.  Guys like that.
    • Oh I see what you meant by memory. I will trust my memory, I have looked a a lot of those ball charts for Bryce and they trend a general pattern. They thing that has changed that I have noticed more recently is the reduction in the bunching of behind or at  the LOS passes over to his right.  Aside from the quantity of throws recently since the running game has become a more dominant factor.
    • Yes but you basically said you are going from a quick skim of those charts without doing the same for Bryce and/or Andy. So you are going memory vs. snapshots. That's not going to be a very comprehensive analysis.
