How was your team assembled?

looks like we got back on track with the drafting this year.

another couple years like this one and i think we are going to have one dangerous team.

i would like us to be a little more aggressive in FA in a couple spots, tho. i like what we did in fixing DT. we made a mistake with mcclain and fua and we'll likely be moving on from both of them...which is what we should be doing rather than hang on to them forever hoping that maybe they can be "coached up".

cut your losses and plug holes with solid players.

At least RR has seen the horrible late round picks and cut all of them and replaced them with cheap reliable vets.

i think he's working on replacing all of the bad picks. cutting mcclain was a good sign that he's not going to be hanging on forever to them just because we drafted them.

as soon as he's allowed to move on from edwards, i think he does. only reason that AE is still around is that he's shown a little improvement and the FO loves him. once gettis comes back we'll see edwards without a jersey on sundays.

I'm fine with giving edwards 3 years... just wasn't happy about trading for him. We coulda got him in the 5th or 6th. hardly any teams were showing interest in him.

thats another thing i like about rivera. we and the whole league knew he wanted joe adams and that we were gonna get him, because he was projected to go a little later than our pick. even if he doesn't pan out we didn't do anything lucrative to get him.

    • You are too harsh. Owners tell GMs what to do all the time. It doesn’t make someone “unfit”.  A man unfit for that job could not have had that 2025 draft.  And I am not trying to be belligerent I certainly don’t feel belligerent,  just trying to use some common sense. Tepper is the last guy that wants to give up on Young. The coach had WRs throwing fits on field and sidelines in view of everyone. He had to do it, but needed permission. I just can’t buy Tepper instigating that. Sorry.
    • You guys are just going to have to accept the fact that Dan Morgan is a mid GM best case scenario currently. I used to have people get very belligerent over defending Scott Fitterer too. And that's not hyperbole. People used to go to bat for that guy like he was blood related. We have a truckload invested in the OL and what do we have to show for it? The whole unit is already banged up including one of our big signings. Even without all that the group has largely taken a step back from last year in pass protection. Then you get to the QB room and there's only two conclusions you can make about Dan Morgan. Either he deliberately ignored it two years in a row on his own accord or he took orders from Tepper to do so. Either scenario says he's not fit to be an NFL GM.
    • Frank, ceding control of the defense in no way verifies that Tepper told Canales to bench Young.    It certainly buttresses the idea that Canales would need permission to bench him but that is as far as you can take it.    After that it is pure speculation and it doesn’t make sense.
