What's the best Satellite and DSL out there?

DSL pretty much sucks and expensive to get to the bandwidth levels you'd really want to do streaming. I was in the same boat for no TWC or alternatives until UVerse just became available. Of course...I'd just upgraded a Directv receiver and it locked me into another stupid 2yr contract this past January.

Grrr...

I'll be counting down the days to get off Directv and onto Uverse. I have At&t dsl...and I don't like.

Directv is awesome, simply put.

I have windstream DSL. Only 3 mbps. I've had some connectivity issues before, but they've been great in resolving them. 3mbps is plenty to stream netflix. No buffering.

I'm looking online at DTV now... they got like 5 packages ranging from $29.99 to $89.99...

Jase, you're an expert on packages, which one is best?

I'm thinking the Choice Ultimate ($44.99) would be best...

my wife just asked me today to look into it...

at current, we have TWC, RR (normal), and 2 DVRs - Got Showtime free for like 6 more months or so, but other than that, no premiums...

We pay like $128.xx a month...

Thinking about going DirectTV and keeping RR, or exploring other options...

Wooo... I got ATT to pull uverse to my neighborhood. When I called ATT they told me they can't o anything for me so I email to corporate and asked them to research the idea, they send me email back and told me they'll pull a cable to my neighborhood and I'll be their first customer in the area. Woo! $105 a month for 360 channels plus 18mbps internet. Plus I used a coupon I found online and they'll give me $125 gift card woo

shameless plug for me but but if you pm your email I can do a referral for you and we both save some $$

There’s no better time to refer your friends to DIRECTV.

Why? Because for every friend who signs up for DIRECTV you get $100 in bill credits. Refer just two friends and you’ve covered the cost of NFL SUNDAY TICKET. With your referral, your friends also save an additional $100 on top of their new customer savings. What are you waiting for? Football season is right around the corner. You can refer up to 10 friends per year for a total savings of $1000!

I'm about to move to a brand new neighborhood which does not yet have TWC or ATT Uverse services. So I have to settle for Satellite TV and DSL before they'll get there so I need some sugegstions.

Also, is DSL any good for streaming Netflix?

What phone company services the area? Verizon, AT&T, Frontier etc?

    • So Willis had a good game against a poor defense and all of a sudden he is worth 50 million and is guaranteed to be better than Young. LOL I know he looked good in the 3 games he started, and I think he will have success long term, but anyone signing him up for a long term contract for 50 million is taking a huge risk.
    • Is he really though? Rivera was past his prime and probably shouldn't have even started 2019 so his firing wasn't really unexpected or unwarranted. Rhule lasted two and a half years which was about one year too long in my opinion. Bringing him back that third year certainly wasn't impulsive and I would say Tepper was more patient than he should have been. Wilks finished out that third season and did pretty good but most everyone could see he really wasn't anything more than an intern HC. Bringing him back was not the long term answer so not bringing him back was the correct call. Hiring Reich was a mistake from the beginning and he recognized that fairly quickly. I am sure he knew he was going to catch a lot of sh*t for firing him so quickly ( and boy did he ) but it was absolutely the right thing to do given everything that was going on. The firing may have looked impulsive, but I think it was him recognizing he had royally f*ck up and just dealt with it instead of letting it fester.  That brings us to Canales. 2025 was only his second season and yet he delivered 8 wins and the NFC South title. And while that might not sound great, given the lack of talent and cap space they started with, it's a strong step in the right direction. I couldn't imagine Tepper not being pleased with their progress given the crap the Panthers' have been though under his ownership.
