we can't ever make tackles because our guys are too worried about trying to strip the ball instead of making the tackle. Meanwhile the runner continues to run hard and gain yards. Our coaches preach too much about stripping the ball. They need to start preaching making the tackle. The first guy to the runner needs to make the tackle. Simple as that.

In three games, we have been outscored 30-7 in the first qtr. Both our offense and defense have been in abused early in the game. Fortunately, the defense did play better in both previous games as the game wore on, our offense got better as the second game went along. Unfortunately, the team we are playing tonight is better than either of them. They are more talented than we are.
