Taking kuech off on passing plays...

Yeah it's pretty moronic. Clearly not running a meritocracy like we were promised.

Easy. Using words like meritocracy on these forums might get you labeled..........people will think you're a witch or a warlock, or got some of them magics. :)

On a serious note, I agree with you. Thought things were going to be different. You ball, you play, you suck, you sit...not seeing it applied to all people equally.

I've been b!tching about this for 2 weeks, and I don't like being a whiner.

Two examples...

In the Giants game, he was very close to a pick 6, but Eli saw him at the last second and threw it at his feet.

Yesterday, he did a beautiful job blowing up a screen and took the man down for a 3 yard loss.

We all love Beason, but we can still love and respect him in a reduced role.

If they coached and played the kid to his potential, he might make a miss or two with a month of NFL experience, but he'd more than make up for it with a greater number of game changing plays. He can't do that on the bench. Teach him, practice him, and play him. If we don't, someone else will, and it could be in less than four years if this crappy DC's play calling continues as is.

Davis is mostly healthy 4 games now...good stuff so let's see what he's truly got

Anderson is still solid

So Davis, Kuechly, Anderson with Beason coming in and out interchangeably at MLB or OLB I think would work the best for us atm

Gotta use Kuechly more if we wanna utilize a major reason WHY WE SIGNED HIM IN THE FIRST PLACE DAG NABBIT

I can't believe some of the things I'm reading in here...I'm also a fan of Kuechly and would like to see him get more playing time but limiting Beason is the wrong approach. Some of you guys have such knee-jerk reactions. We are just a quarter of the season in with Beason missing all of last year. Do you forget he was our best player on defense before he got injured last year. At least give the guy half a season to show us that he is still the "beast"

I agree that he hasn't played up to his standards this year but I'm still going to let it ride with Beason. Also, as smart as Kuechly is I would still rather have Beason out there leading and making audibles as the captain and being the vocal leader even if he is not there yet physically.

    • Completely agreed.  TBH, we have had so many great players that are in my favorite list, and I hate to narrow it down to one, but Cam is it.  Which is crazy, because you would think it would be more of the guys I grew up watching, but no.  Cam was the single most impactful player to ever out on a football uniform imo.  And like I said in an earlier post, I always felt a kinship with him in a lot of ways…  the way he was treated and judged for the off the field stuff in Florida and having to overcome all of that and fight show at back.  And although I am not a black man, I have always been welcomed by and accepted more by minorities, and thus, I know what it’s like to be judged by appearances rather than the content of your character and who you actually are.  I know what it’s like to be stereotyped and written off or mistreated for your mistakes.  I know what it’s like to be held to a different standard while your peers don’t have to meet that same standard.  So I always related to that.  And the way he came in and just electrified the whole franchise, man…  I still think about it often how much it sucks that because of how talented he was, our staff out so much on him and that ultimately cut his career short.  You’re right, there will never be another Cam…  I think Josh Allen is the closest thing we will see for a long time, but Allen is not the running threat Cam was.  Cam could run you over or around you.  That was THE absolute funnest time to watch our team ever.
    • It definitely needs more specificity than is baked in now.
    • The weirdest encounter I had with a pro athlete was waiting in line at security at Mile High Stadium when I used to get the company suite tickets almost every week because I was the only employee based in Colorado. There's a small checkpoint accessing the suites that virtually no one knows about that you can usually squirt right through. I was standing there and looked over my shoulder and there stands John fuging Elway waiting in line behind me.  This was during the The Golden Calf of Bristol season right before he became GM. I just said "They make YOU go through security?" He's like "Yeah, ain't that a bitch. I literally have a statue out front and I gotta go through security like everybody else." I've heard mixed things about him but he was super nice and down to earth with me that day.
