Wishbone formation

it was cool seeing us line up with all of our backs on the field at the same time. it got us a few yards and i can see how this could be hell for opposing defenses. i think we only ran a play with it twice last game right? seems like something we might want to throw in a bit more to see how it works.

It was also cool seeing Cam line up at WR and then going under center.....not sure the purpose though.

There is probably an option before Cams motion given the right look. Plus I would think at least 2 after motion one being a snap and run to D-Will right after Can starts to move (set up by the play we ran and hoping to have the D think "We can chill until Cam is back under center") and one being Cam just running past the line and D-Will takes the snap and rund the other way.

But I just guessing, it could be absolutly no point but to hope to confuse.

I would just like to see a run out of the I-formation. I think we lined up in it once and it was a play-action. Cut down the amount of option plays, teams are obviously ready for it this year and defend it well almost every play.

I disagree, the option worked really well as long as we used the first/dive option. Going outside was less successful but you have to do that to set up the inside run.

I agree and thought the formation is basically the read option on crack.

If Armanti lead Smitty just a little bit on his pass, it would have been a score and nice TD.

Anyone remember Cam's 28 yard reception last year? Bring back that play.

Nanee is gone though, and I don´t think we can fool anyone with Armanti everybody knows he is really a QB.

It would have also helped if the CB didn't trip Smith.

After re-watching the game, I see Chud has added a new wrinkle to the read-option. He ran it twice from a unbalanced line. The first time was on Cam's long run to the left, which was to the weak side, and because of the defensive line shift it was successful. The second time the Falcons was prepared and didn't shift.

I also noticed that Chud was trying trick plays from under center as well, which killed a drive.

    • That’s not a bad idea at all. I was really liking the whole cali-style carne asada. We might do that next week instead of enchiladas for the rams. Was planning on: Saints-Gumbo Tampa-Cuban Sandwiches Seattle- Salmon Stew Tampa- Seafood Boil
    • I agree, honestly you can not trade a player that has Balls talent. Just sitting in street clothes FOR years, it doesn't matter if you are averaging 50points on 88% with 18 rebs, 15 asst, 4 stls if you never can play. These are the worst type of players, teasers. Its HIS JOB to get his body in NBA shape and he has proven that he can not. Thus you break the rule about trading top shelf talent. Hell NBA need to have NFL contracts where the full sum isn't guaranteed, you bet your ass if his money was tied to his playing on the court he'd somehow figure out how to stay healthy.   Plus Im a old head, I member when Seth Curry in his 17(Jesus..) year career had ankle problems and guess what, he solved the issues and got all the money, championships, and fame. Ball doesn't have the same drive to figure out his body, he'd rather drive his car on kids feet while rushing home to drive his go-cart on the roof of his condo after missing his 42nd game of the season.....
