the team is going to just have to live with it's stupid decisions

It seems people are beginning to understand why some have been upset with the move from the beginning...which is nothing personal about Deangello at all.

There are several teams in dire need of a RB at the moment actually.

Off the top of my head:

GB

Ariz

Det

Just to name a few...

Does anybody really want to take on the contract and give up a 1st rndr though??

JStew and Williams are def 1st rounders... Anybody who thinks differently is just dumb

lol. What someone is "worth" and what you can get for them are two ENTIRELY different stories. There is no way he will go for a first, no way.

TruCatzFan, there is a thing in the NFL called "leverage", and if the Panthers dealt him, they wouldn't have much of it. 3rd or a 4th rounder would be ideal in the situation that the Panthers are in. But if they commit to rebuilding, they could very well use the pick.

....then again.. I could be just 'dumb' in your words. ha

You have to remember that while everyone is gearing up to stop the pass these days, we will run it right down there throats. We are starting a new trend in the league. Naw, I'm just shitting you. It was pretty damn stupid to sign that deal.

    • Just a winner? He went 6-9 last year. Just because a guy got carried to the SB by elite surrounding talent doesn't mean much. How did Nick Files pan out after catching lightning on a bottle?
    • Hurts is an elite threat with his legs though. He's gonna stress an opposing DC a lot more than Brock Purdy.
    • Um, no, just no. Bills, Chiefs, Chargers, Ravens, Bengals, Texans, Eagles, Commanders are 8 teams that it's not even a debate, they aren't trading their QB for Purdy. Patriots, Broncos, Titans, Giants, Bears, Vikings, Falcons are 7 more teams with QBs drafted in the last 2 years that also would rather stick with them than trade for Purdy as they all have more upside than he does. Lions, Packers, Cowboys, Bucs are 4 more that would likely keep their QB's as well, age aside for Goff, Dak, and Baker. Panthers and Colts are two teams in the same situation, QB's who have both struggled and shown flashes to where the teams probably stick with them because they drafted them, but in a re-draft of all QB's, they probably take Purdy over the guy they currently have. Jags, Cardinals, Dolphins, are 3 more with QB's who probably have a higher upside than Purdy but come with their own question marks, so debatable if they'd take Purdy over who they already have. That leaves Jets, Raiders, Steelers, Browns, Saints, Seahawks, and Rams. Rams would take him over Stafford for the future of course, but not for 2025, and I'd think the Seahawks would take him over Darnold, but honestly not sure if they would take him over Milroe at this moment as they really like his potential and have him for 4 years really cheap. That leaves 5 teams that I see who would absolutely take him over their current situation right now, and a handful of others who MIGHT take him over their current guy, a far cry from your 20.
