We are just as bad (if not worse) as the 2-14 Panthers.

Some people thought we could actually compete for a super bowl. Heck, some people still think we are just a year or two away from being at that point. Delusion knows no bounds.

we even had SI fooled. peter king i think it was had us at 8 on his preseason power rankings and a bubble playoff team in 2010.

that reminds me: does anybody else remember that guy who kept insisting we were going to have a perfect season in 2010? he kept referring to it as a "purrrrfect season" so i don't know if he was a troll or what.

It was probably PT's bipolar ass. I really can't wait to see his reactions when we stomp the cowboys.

"We are winning out the resst of the season and everyone here doubted the panthers are a good team? Lol. Here are the reasons why we are better than 2010:

(Insert random bs here)"

He wasn't a preCam Panthers fan, so he probably didn't watch very many 2010 games to even know what we all suffered.

i don't know when he became a fan or how long he was over at an inferior site before they banned him and all his alts a couple weeks ago.

i do know he's not a camwagoner, tho. he said that DA should be starting. not sure what else matters about him after that.

he does seem to need a prescription for depakote or lythium or something, tho.

I was assuming he's a new fan because anyone who actually watched all 16 games in 2010 couldn't possibly say what he did. Now, it is to me acceptable to say we are more disappointing than the 2010 team, but to say we are as bad or worse is just nonsense.

true. you'd have to be delusional or at the least very emotionally disturbed to think we are worse.

not ruling that out, btw.

you would think they would have more wins than the 2010 squad by now.

well they should. and i think they know it. the only thing that matters is if they sack up and do anything about it. right now I have yet to see anything that gives me confidence that they have the mental capabilities necessary to turn it around.

my money is on they spend the rest of the season crying about some excuses and get some surgeries done instead of working through it and proving to the fans that they were just mentally week and not prepared for the beginning of the season. That hurts to say because I love the Panthers but this team looks hopeless for 12-13.

    • Why are most NFL refs senior citizens lol
    • I can't speak to the sample size on the double ACL tears, I could look into it but I am unsure about the quality of data I am able to find. Anecdotally, I don't think that is common for sure.  Well one giant red flag for Dobbins is that of the 3-5 serious injuries he has had in his NFL career, 100% of them have been the same leg. That's not good and it doesn't bode well for his longevity at all. As I have said several hundred times in this forum(in this case it will be in regards to Thomas Davis), outliers are memorable for a reason....because they are outliers. You don't base your decision making on outliers. That's.....stupid. I am also not high on Etienne but he does play special teams and Brooks does not. Currently, I couldn't blame anyone in the FO for choosing a 3rd string RB that can play special teams and has actually played more than 23 career snaps in the NFL in 2+ seasons.  I am not advocating for cutting Brooks but I don't think it's a player I would consider for anything other than a 3rd string role(and likely competing for it, at that) if I am building a roster for 2026. It's not like they are going to get to see him at 100% in 2026.
    • I'm not going to argue against black helmets, but love our silver helmets. No one has anything similar. If you took all the logos off all 32 team's helmets, you could pick out our helmet easy.
