Would JR actually hire Marc Ross?

Richardson does not impress me as an impulse guy, or a man without a plan.

Most multi-millionaires didn't get rich because they are stupid.

I really wonder if he has already decided on certain people as potential replacements and has already had 'dinner talks'.

I think unless Ron Rivera suddenly learns how to be a head coach and manages to win at least 7 of the remaining games, he's gone.

Marc Ross makes a lot of sense. Hiring someone of his caliber would mean a deviation in overall philosophy, which I think we desperately need. Ditto that for anybody from a team that has a winning culture right now. A fresh perspective is needed. Case in point: our over investment in the running game goes back to 7-8 years ago when the position was depleted.

The problem with this team is that at least for the first season it will be an uphill battle for management. That's how bad Jerry Hurney has mismanaged it in the past few years. If the team is going to see any success it's going to need top drafting that doesn't include trading up for App State QBs and alternating between RB and LB in the first round almost every year, and a coaching system that works in today's league, plain and simple. There are some reputable guys that are on the chopping block this season with their own teams. Norv Turner would be an excellent OC for us, and, alternatively because their systems are different, Andy Reid as a HC. And I'm just about certain it is in the team's best interest to drop Ron. He is in way over his head and it looks like he has lost the team, which usually results in inevitable failure. Unless you want to turnover 75% of the roster, he isn't going to turn this ship around. Reid would be great for Cam to improve his short passing and timing routes and getting away from this option crap, he's a great evaluator of talent, and during his run in Philly he's missed the playoffs about as many times as we've made the playoffs in our team's history.

This signing would almost make this season bareable. I've been keeping track of Ross career for a while. Even before he went to the Giants. The man just has an eye for talent plain and simple.

Can't sign him until the Giants season is over.
