I Am Guarenteeing a Win Against Chicago

crap, TCF agrees with me. Why! God Why!

Well, it's pretty simple really. I watched the game last night. Bears defense is too aggressive. It sets up for running lanes for Cam and counter plays for our running backs who I think will be featured heavily. It's tough to sit here and imagine that our guys have something to play for sitting at 1-5... But it's the truth. We will beat the bears at their house. We will knock off the best defense in the NFL.

I just see us turning things around this weekend. The sad part is I think we'll win enough games to give us a mediocre draft pick instead of tanking for a good one.

I think chknwing is right too.

Only because I think the game will be fixed so that odds makers can cash in on betting.

Panthers 16 (defensive TD off of Cutler int)

Bears 10

Cutlers throws 3 ints and had worse game of his career.

I'm guaranteeing a loss.

Why? Simple statistics. Cam Newton has not won a game when he has thrown an interception. You may think this is a stupid, pointless stat, but when you're 0-12 when throwing a pick (and 7-3 when not throwing a pick), it says something.

Chicago's defense has 14 interceptions this year through only 6 games. They've had at least one interception a game. Cam is virtually guaranteed to get picked off at least once against Chicago. He will need to break this stat to win. I don't see it happening, and Carolina continues to spiral.

    • Bryce has been playing the best ball of his career the last three games IMO. He wasn't the reason we dropped the game in NOLA. Seattle's defense will be his toughest challenge yet this season
    • I'll be at the game Sunday and up until last year I had a perfect attendance record. Now however I have seen us lose to the Chiefs (last year) and the Bills (this year). So we can no longer rely solely on my ability to pound overpriced beers to propel us to a win.
    • I haven't been able to watch Seattle on a dedicated basis but the Seahawks are a much better team by the all accounts: eye test, record and DVOA. Defensively they are sick. Best DVOA in the league first in rushing and second in passing. Offensively their passing game has been on fire this year led by JSN I can easily see this being like the Buffalo game where things just get out of hand for us early, that being said this league really is week to week and Seattle does have the disadvantage of traveling cross country for an early game.  If and big if, the Panthers are able to effectively run the ball and limit the amount of time Seattle's offense has to generate explosive plays we have a path to winning this game.  Seattle fans won't be happy to hear this but bad Darnold is always lurking in the background. He is truly an enigma to root for bc he will have an incredible throw that only a few people can make but then will turn around and throw the most bone headed pick of all time.  I think ultimately we drop this one as ultimately it's human nature to be looking forward to that week 18 game. But man how special would it be to be leaving the stadium on Sunday with a win and a miracle dolphins upset
