What's The Proper Way To Lose?

It's actually a great question. The reporter was basically asking cam how he's thinks the fans and media thinks he should act after a loss.

That depends entirely on whose side you're on and what point of view you look at the question from.

From a reporter's point of view it's a great question. It's polarizing, it's almost guaranteed to give you a sound byte if it's answered, it plays right to the story du jour about how bad Cam is with the media. It's a very loaded question. It's inviting conflict between either Cam and the media or Cam and the fans.

From Cam's point of view it's probably a terrible question - for all the same reasons.

I thought it shouldn't have been asked.

If he thinks there is such thing as a "proper way to lose" then he shouldn't be in the NFL in my opinion, no reason to ask a proffesional competitor that AT ALL.

It's that whole reporting for ratings / readers thing. Questions like that get asked when someone needs a line.

You know, I've been critical of Cam in my posts and still think there are some serious maturity issues there, but I don't believe I would have handled that continous stream of absolutely idiotic questions as well as he did. They were doing their best to bait him into a soundbite and if I was there I would have had to punch several of them.

I really liked the BS line of questions about how they changed the offense (one week ago) and what do you do when it doesn't work (one loss later). Were they wanting him to say that he should quit or perhaps get him to say that they coaches should be fired? There were simply no good answers to these questions and shame on them for being such ametuers. I seriously would have exploded.

Between Cam's demeanor and these idiot reporters you have there in Charlotte, I agree with what someone else said--- Cam would be better off taking the fine for not showing up. And yeah, that looks bad too, but I think it would be better.

sorry...it's a sucky question.

the reporter apparently is the one, just like the rest of the media, who need to be answering that since they seem to do nothing but bitch about the way cam reacts to losing.

i assume they are the experts on losing.

cam's still new to this losing thing and i honestly hope he never gets used to it. i hope for his and our sake that the losing culture that permeates here changes soon.

i don't want him to be a good loser. i want him to hate it and i want the rest of the team to equally despise it and do something to prevent it from happening here.

    • I dont think people realize how hard it is to find a consistent starting QB in the NFL. Byrce will not heart us to a SB but I do think he can manage to get us one or close..go all in on defense and change the Offensive passing game and play calls. I really think our biggest problem is our HC.  Take New Orleans QB for example, switch him and Bryce and I promise you it'll look similar or worse. New Orleans OC is levels ahead of Canales. And as far as the draft goes, in this division with as much rb talent as we face ..the answer...this guy:    Pick up a couple edge rushers in FA along with a corner and plug this guy in Rozeboom's spot. Defense solved. But only if we get a top tier rusher on that dline....jus saying
    • I think I'm going to the game in Los Angeles vs Paraguay, and the England / Croatia game here in Dallas since my mom is British.  For decent seats anywhere in the building(s) it looks like it will be upwards of $7k for the two games.  Insane. Just for perspective, you could buy field level EPL tickets for any one of the top sides in the league, and it would be 10% of the price you'll pay for crappy seats at the World Cup.
    • Meh… I knew this thread would turn into a Bryce/Tua comparison, when they couldn’t be further apart situations.   Dolphins catered there whole offense toward Tua, they brought in a coach that would run a Tua friendly offense, the went in got the best most explosive WR in the NFL and paired him the fastest WR in that years draft. Panthers have done the opposite, they went and got a Pete Carroll disciple who likes to run the ball under center, they drafted big slow WR who got little separation in college. Literally the polar opposite of Bryce’s scouting report coming out of Alabama.   Tua was a decent QB 2 years ago, but the concussions, lack of movement have caught up to him. He never had a great arm to begin with but now since he doesn’t want to get hit he’s taking the whole offense down with him.
