Jimmy, Oh Jimmy, Where for art thou Jimmy

No doubt JC is on his way out the door. But seeing as how he is still a Panther and even though he sucked horribly when he played, I am a consumate homer who feels that something can be said to how he handled this situation.

Jimmy took a lot of heat when he first came out. People were saying he was arrogant, and not a team player. There were fears that he would not be able to win over the locker room and that players would not want to play with him.

When he got to the league it all died down, then as he was thrust into a no win situation as a rookie, his confidence and potentially his pyche were damaged pretty severly. This all culminated to the second worst season in franchise history and a LOT of pissed off fans. He lost the support of the fans, the confidence of the coaches but I think he gained the respect of his teammates.

Mind you nobody wants him to be the QB but you got to admire somebody that through all that sucking can come to work, smile, throw a pick and do it all again the next day. I watched him in practice a couple of times and he seemed upbeat. God awful, but upbeat. He has never said the wrong thing, doesnt fight with the media (who reamed him) and still cheers Cam on when he scores.

(I know it may have been a dick-move not giving Cam the jersey, but we dont know. None of us were there and a lot of people dont want to give up their jersey to a rookie. Besides this is not about Cam. Give Jimmy his due so he can go in peace.)

I think Jimmy handled the situation like a grown man. 0% chance of getting a snap, but never pouted.

Even the mods are sh*tposting?

If that's what you call cleaning up unclear/frivolous threads, sure.

He clarified what he was trying to say, it made sense, thread stays. Pretty simple really.

I kind of look forward to seeing what he does at his next stop. His rookie year was awful, but Moore was awful that year and so was just about everyone else. I don't know what rookie QB would have been a hit under a lame-duck coach who didn't want him, an OC that was just embarassing to watch, and a team stripped of veteran talent.

With a coach who plays to his strengths, and given his experience (bad though it may be), he could potentially be an improvement over several QBs out there. It's too bad he wasn't showcased a little in pre-season, we might have been able to get something for him. As it is, I wouldn't be surprised if he just got cut so the Panthers avoid his fourth year escalator, and he ends up in Oakland or Arizona next year.
