Nice Newton quote.

committing some minor thread necromancy here but the all-22 finally came available on game rewind. here's a bird's eye view of the safety:

the most shallow route is freaking 20 yards down field which was blanketed with no checkdown options. unbelievably stupid. chud has just lost it.

If you look at this picture it also illustrates some of the issues our O-line was having Sunday.

We were having to keep 7 guys in to block 4 or 5 guys leaving 3 receivers against 6 or 7 guys in coverage. That puts a lot of pressure on the QB and receivers as most of those guys will have underneath and over the top coverage.

Also on this play there was supposed to be a checkdown but they got caught up blocking and so Cam didn't end up with any checkdown option. Not sure if it was a blown play or if the player just got caught up and couldn't get out.

That is awesome view. We need at least one crosser at 8 yards. The blitz was great for them. It was embarassing to watch.

This photo is 6 + seconds into the play...the receivers have already run their routes and Cam Newton has decided not to throw the football...receivers are just freelancing at this point....and Newton has an open man right in the middle of the zone..

Ball cant come out quicker when EVERY route takes 4 seconds to develop. Ever heard of a route tree chud?

Same thing I was screaming about Sunday. With a pass rush the Bronco's had going, and he was still calling deep routes all game. What a dumb ass OC. fire him please. Hes not adjusting to the what the defense is giving him.

here are three caps basically from the snap to the point right before the safety:

Thanks.

Looks like 2 go routes on the outside and a drag across the middle.

All 3 of which were covered or not developed when Cam was sacked.

Thus

What I find most telling about those caps?

In typical Chud fashion, there is no one out on a short hot route in spite of Newton being constantly pressured and throwing from the end zone.

It's like staking a goat to a tree overnight and being surprised the lion ate it.

    • Dabo said the timeline is about  3-5 years.  IMO, he has been pretty spot on about college football overall…..and IMO I think he was speaking not off a gut but just the general inside consensus.  the end game is for the top of college football to essentially have their own league/division and that doesn’t just mean Clemson leaves the ACC….it means UGA, Michigan, etc all leave their conference too.
    • So you are a Carolina fan, and the administration knows this, if Carolina goes to the SEC they will be below Vandy and you and I both know I’m not kidding, they have not been the greatest and basketball lately either.  It would be an absolute disaster for Carolina to go to the SEC.  Look at SC, they may finally have something this year but they left the ACC in what?  The 80’s?  What have they done in the SEC in 40 years?  That will be any ACC school that goes to the SEC or the Big 10 and they know it.  Especially Carolina, they have nothing to offer the SEC, we already know that Clemson and FSU has been denied by the board, they couldn’t go if they wanted to…where would they go?
    • This wasn't unknown to the public. It was covered previous to the trade and going back to June in the media. So the Packers would know.  It probably just isnt considered significant.   https://www.espn.com/nfl/story/_/id/46097336/cowboys-appear-open-micah-parsons-trade-offers
