Refs blew call on TD punt return!

Remember when we caught that break last week with DLo. Karma says hi.

lol, we didn't exactly "catch a break with DLo" last week, they just decided not to screw us like they almost did. if no mistakes were made on that play, the result would have been the same as it actually happened. And they made up for the "2 wrongs making a right" plenty in the rest of the game with shitty calls benefiting the redskins.

disclaimer: I do understand that technically, the refs should have stuck with their original mistake and taken away the TD, but I don't look at the way it worked out as "catching a break" since if no mistakes had been made, nothing would have changed.

Rivera must have lost his red flag

I have been wondering if Rivera even challenged the TD, thanks for confirming what I already suspected and no I'm not surprised at all. smh

All scoring plays are supposed to be automatically reviewed. If the replay official deems that a further review is necessary he will buzz down to the field and the on field ref will review and make a final call.

COACHES CAN NO LONGER CHALLENGE SCORING PLAYS, as they are supposed to be auto reviewed every time anyhow.

I swear, some of you have no fuging clue what you're talking about.

every ruling a ref makes should be up for a challenge.

ridiculous that they aren't. coaches don't really need any more challenges than what they have, but they should have everything fair game.

scoring plays are no exception. doesn't matter if they are automatically reviewed. sometimes they are looking at the wrong thing...kind of like this return and holliday dropping the ball.

but yeah....scoring plays haven't been challengeable this year. remember that replacement ref catastrophe in seattle in the endzone? game could have ended differently if that call could have been challenged.

    • Well yeah. Last time vs NO if we had had good QB play and half ass pass pro it is a different game. And that is the story more often, in point of fact, than the two or three hero games everyone wants to use to define the player.  That box was so stacked against the run it was basically impossible to break through it, you had to go over and around. It is what we knew was gonna be employed by teams and we were unable to stop them from doing it.    I am real interested to see the first 3rd and 8 and see how NO defenses it in the back end. Because they can look at that Rams tape and learn, but will they have enough fear/respect that it can happen to them or will we need to prove it again before they do?   Most people don’t learn from others’ mistakes and  need to make their own.
    • I like that Tillis is so down to earth  we will see where it goes ill say something controversial on a day that, along with next week, determines the panthers 2025  and 2026 fate  he referenced ‘money ball’, statistics and self scouting multiple times. it really makes me feel that Bryce will be back regardless of what happens over the next 4 games as that is the smart move for financial stability but by no means does that guarantee Bryce anything past that.  They will improve year over year regardless of position or who is affected       however, they will do the appropriate diligence and not cut off their nose to spite their face….it won’t be an emotional decision…unlike us Huddlers….for example, if Young’s happy ass shits the bed today, I’ll be less than pleased ..particularly having seen what they will do and having a bye week.  Brandon Staley is a good defensive coordinator and former HC.  His defense is aging but he can still develop a good game plan
    • Something like 24 now. The first 6 minutes were fun, after that, oh man. It was cool tho, a near capacity, with both teams well supported.
