Wake Up - We beat a bunch of scrubs

We have the chiefs next its anther game we should

Win... The rest of the season is gonna be irritating if we end up 7-9 or 8-8 because with all the lost leads it would mean we could have easily been a playoff team.

the benefit of that is that it makes this team a lot more attractive to a potential GM and HC. imo, that will do a whole lot more for the team than getting a top 2 or 3 pick in the draft.

i don't think rivera saves his job. GM will probably want his guy. i'm not even worried about that.

big picture...not looking at just the draft next year, but years down the road, the best thing for this team is to win when they can and try to do it often with the remaining opportunities they have.the less they look like the browns or some other perennial bottom feeder, the better this team looks, the better the GM and HC we'll be able to attract.

no one wants a losing team. no one wants to completely have to rebuild. they want a team that is just a little ways from being able to win consistently. if we can get to 7-9 or 8-8 or crap...even just back to 6 wins this year, we have a better chance of doing it than winning just 3.

since we have our franchise QB and he's still very young and we have a very young team that can still be molded into what the new coaching staff would like it to be molded we just need to show that this is a team that can win with some better direction and coaching and a few pieces replaced. the cap is going to be a frustrating enough of a problem. i'd like for this team to appear to be less of a nightmare than a 2-3 win team that has had losing records for the past few years might appear to be.

we have to look like a more attractive destination than the rest of the loser teams looking for a HC. a team that can show it's capable of winning 7 or 8 games is going to be a lot more attractive than a team that has a top 3 draft pick.

We cleared it against the Redskins, and then it showed back up against Tampa. We wont really clear it until we win a few against some good teams in the 4th qtr.

i think beating the eagles and beating the teams that are right there at the bottom with us....pretty much the games that we should be winning, would be significant confidence boosters helping go against some better teams later.

they've seen that they can hang with any team in the league. they've done it with all but a couple of them. it's just having the confidence to finish at all that they need. if they can pull off two in a row, esp. on the road, i think they'll be ok the rest of the season...that is unless you're one of those who think the team is better off losing out even though it likely means getting a lower quality HC and or GM.

I want them to win out, because losing sucks, although I doubt that will impact what kind of head coach and or GM we get. New hires will come here or not come here because of the owner and staff, the enviroment, and how much they like or don't like the area. That being said, when I see us pull out a close win against the Falcon's, then I will be convinced. Or even 4 or 5 wins in a row against average or below average opponents might be convincing.

i think losing out vs. winning out would make a pretty big difference when looking at teams. we are going against some pretty big programs. just off the top of my head, dallas, philly, san diego (well, the locale is nice anyways) and there will probably be a couple other jobs opening up as well...probably a couple of them are on the remaining schedule. this team can't afford to look bad or any worse than it does.

what you said is true, that the owner, staff, environment, and the area will all be factors, but the team that they will be inheriting will also be a huge factor. the less work that needs to be done, the better and just looking at records, the ones with the most wins will probably be the easier teams to work with and will probably take the less effort to get right.

they will want to know how much fight is in this team and if there is something to work with here or if it's just a bunch of incompetent baboons. the better they look, the more attractive they'll be.

We still suck - sorry to bring you guys down but dont delude yourselves with how much better we or Cam is playing. We were damn lucky to eek out a win.

So what? We've lost to a bunch of scrubs. So according to my math, Scrub + Loss = Suck, Scrub + Win = Less Suck. In this case the square root of suck X 3.14 = Improvement = Still a win. In short, who cares if the iggles suck, a win is a win and is better then what we've got so far, I'll take it!
