I dont think we can afford to let Gamble go or at least its up in the air. Thomas has been lights out on coverage since he started, imagine him with gamble on the other side. Norman has been good but it seems like teams take advantage of his lack of quickness even tho we are always in that stupid off coverage he seems to be the only one they go after. He might be a better safety in the NFL i dont know.

CJ, Johnson, Keuchly, and Gamble are the only starters i fully expect to see back here next year.

I'd be stunned if Gamble is back next year. He's paid way too much and is coming off of a season ending injury.

Only way he is back is if he agrees to restructure and I doubt he's willing.

Not to mention, he literally has no edge or fight to him. When the going get's tough, Gamble lays down.

Make no mistake about it also, Gamble's improved play isn't a product of him upping his game as much as it is that we have the shortest nfl corner ever and a 5th round rookie who ran a 4.7 40 yard dash on the other side of him. Gamble would be exposed with an adequate corner on the other side.

Norman's alright. I see him being our scapegoat in a few seasons. But he can stay until then. But mark my words in a few seasons this guy will get toasted like the Eric Wright's and Sheldon Brown's of the league.... I do like that he's physical. Hard to find a corner that likes to tackle. I'll miss Gamble too if he's gone.

Anderson needs to be back. Huge oversight. Heart and soul of our team.

He's a very big reason Quinn looked like Cyborg Montana out there today. All he does is play way off then make the tackle. To his credit, he's a good tackler. I just haven't seen much to buy into his actual coverage skills.

As much as people hate position switch talk, I think Norman would be a badass free safety. Good size, decent speed, long arms, good tackler and could keep everything in front of him.

I definitely dont like his coverage skills. Just hope he becomes a Corey Webster... I mean that guy went from a guy who couldn't cover poo into a pretty decent corner bc he's been taught, been physical, and has size.

    • I just dont get the worry over losing a practice squad player that just went undrafted. Everyone just made their selections. The chances of a team wanting to sign him to an active roster after not selecting him is very low.  If that interested they would have taken him late to evaluate in person. As far as I can tell two qbs were signed off another teams practice squad last season and they were both going in to their 5th season.
    • I enjoyed reading this thread and the usual banter that follows. The only silver lining I can identify right now is we do actually have a couple of young QB's behind him and we do have a nice roster on both sides of the ball built around the most important position. So if the team overall shows some promise but we still falter largely due to a lack of consistent passing output (again) hopefully the decision makers can be free to make the best decision for the team going forward after the conclusion of this upcoming season.
    • I don't really follow the team anymore due to a variety of reasons and consequently have largely stopped posting but I agree that this is a lovely website and community. This forum probably kept me around for years longer than I would've stuck otherwise because of how difficult it was to stop checking multiple times a day. Especially appreciate how lax the moderation tends to be compared to a lot of places, the crew here does a great job. Out of curiousity I decided to try making a new account (solely for testing purposes) to see what exactly is wrong with the sign up process. The issue seems to be that it never sends you an account verification email, thus making it impossible to complete registration. This is likely something to do with the email server upstream, hope it gets fixed. Also, lol
