Football Wasteland ahead...

Zod

Recommended Posts

Buckle up boys and girls. We have made it through some months without the smell of the pigskin, the freshly cut grass, the sweaty ass crack of the hairy man sitting in front of you with the Delhomme jersey on.

Do not lose focus now, the worst is still ahead of us. We have 2 upcoming months of a football wasteland, void of any discernible gridiron relief.

We are on high alert for extreme boredom related posts, thoughts, and nonsensical topics. If you find yourself wanting to create a thread discussing if Delhomme's shoe size has anything to do with his accuracy, please dunk your genitals in a bowl of ice water.

Thank you in advance.

That is all.

i just looked at the thread titles on the front page.

ugh. at least we have OTAs going on through the week, don't we?

maybe we can talk about something juicy like the battle for the return job or something.

i can't wait until training camp.

    • im a big believer in strong  o lines in general and really strong  olines for not so strong  QBs and we have one if those not so strong  QBs, plus with one LT done for the year and another that is aging with knee issues, a versatile tackle, on a rookie contract for the second most important position on the team, is a good thing    from cat crave Dean Jones    “If Francis Mauigoa (Miami) made it this far down the pecking order, it would be a difficult proposition to turn down.   The Miami prospect might not have the prototypical length associated with premier offensive tackles, but you wouldn't know it. His pass protection is exceptional, which is matched by a strong base on running plays and enough athleticism to make a difference at the second level when opportunities arise. Mauigoa can play either tackle with ease. This makes him a short-term replacement for Ekwonu and a potential long-term successor to Moton. And if fans don't think this is possible in the first round, they haven't been paying close enough attention.”   Excerpt From “Carolina Panthers 7-round 2026 NFL mock draft: Pushing forward edition” Cat Crave https://apple.news/AYEo7NKteR6mIGHtthRnzZQ This material may be protected by copyright.
    • I don't know their cap situation, but if they're able to pick up Malik Willis or Mac Jones, they could be trouble. Hell, they were only one game worse than us last year. If Cousins had played all season, who knows?
    • I think it is funny that we label coaches without considering their circumstances.  Bill Belichick has a .449 winning percentage as a head coach when Tom Brady was not under center.  He will be a Hall of Fame coach. Stephanski, on the other hand, was asked to function in the shadow of the Watson crippling signing, one that he opposed (as it came out recently).  I am not quite sure what to think of him, but I am not dismissing him as a bad coach.  He had the worst situation in the NFL the entire time he worked there.  Frustrations mounted between him and the players over the six years he was there, but the dysfunction was manufactured in the front office.
