Ok, ill say it. 7-9, Rivera should stay, unless...

We get a "cant miss" opportunity with Gruden or Cowher wanting to coach us then ofcourse we should go that route But with us dominating the Falcons and winning by double digits, AND if we run the table and go 7-9, AND Cam continues playing lights out. I say we should stay the course and not risk messing this up. Obviously it seems as though the players are playing lights out and havent given up on Rivera.

I know I will get bashed because I have gone back and forth on the Rivera issue on here, and I understand if i get called a flip flopper. Again, let me be perfectly clear. ONLY if we go 7-9 I say give him one more season with a GM worth a damn. Again, 6-10? Fired. 5-11? Fired, 7-9? Give him one more year.

If he can somehow pull off 7-9 but Chud and McDermott can go.

You see this is where things get ultra confusing.. If Cam and our offense continues to look this good the rest of the season, do we still fire Chud? I think Mcdermott should go. Yes our D may have sexy stats with sacks and tackles but we still made Brady Quinn player of the week.

No matter what Rivera should be fired. He's already proven in my books he's not HC material... at least not for the Panthers.

And to an extent I agree, however is there really any other slam dunk candidates out there. Chip Kelly is high risk/high reward. I would definately fire him for a Gruden or Cowher. But do we really roll the dice on another hot coordinator? Again, im not really a huge fan of Rivera but running the table and going 7-9 atleast warrants re consideration, especially after beating the Falcons.

    • yeah, Panther PR has done the Tepper is taking a backseat PR tour before.   It wasn't true at all the first time we saw them attempt that.   All the stuff you are referencing is stuff produced and put out by the Panthers.  I'm not acting like owners aren't in the war room.   I'm just saying Tepper is a proven commodity.  He is what he is.  And his tenure with BOTH his professional sports teams tell the exact same story about him.   He is not patient.  He didn't show patience last year.  He moved on from an absurd investment 2 games into the season.....and a frankly unimaginable turnaround by Bryce that was only allowed by injury reset some things.  I'm sure a billion times Raiders or Dallas or whatever fans convinced themselves their owners turned a new leaf too.  I'm not buying that.  There just isn't anything supporting Tepper isn't Tepper IMO.
    • Well last year the first team offense struggled against the Bills 3rd string defense. First string offense needed to convert a 4th down to score a TD.  If the starters play against backups and do what they are supposed to do, score easily, I’d say the reps are worth it. Would make me feel better. Unlike last preseason.
    • This right here. You also don’t want your 2 nd string oline going against their starting Dline and risk injury to whoever is taking snaps
