I am ECSTATIC the Saints won today.. (No not because of draft spot.)

This Saints team is going to be on fire and full of confidence going into our matchup next Sunday, add to the fact they will want to avenge their loss to us earlier this year, so they will be playing lights out and I couldnt be more thrilled.

Why? Simple, because we will get a TRUE idea of how far we have actually improved. These wins against the Chargers and Raiders dont mean jack crap. Crappy teams out of the playoffs weeks ago. If we beat the Saints and finish at 7-9 in the superdome then I will buy into the notion that Rivera needs another year no doubt and we might have finally arrived as a team.

If we lose however, fire Rivera on the spot. It will mean NOTHING has changed and we are the same ole Panthers that can only beat bad teams and the same ole 6-10 Panthers from last year. Infact, if im JR, I tell Rivera face to face his job depends on this game, then we would get a true test if Rivera can perform under immense pressure.

The Saints hate is more of a recent phenomena, I really don't get it that much. Our natural rivals are first the Falcons and then the Bucs, we've always beat the Saints till Sean Payton and Brees got here even then I think they've only swept us twice.

Falcons on the other Hand I HATE THE FALCONS.

I like the fact they won because it has made next weeks game actually matter for at least the Saints and the Panthers are playing to win not just to finish out. this can lead to next weeks game being very good.

You do realize the Saints have spoiled our season at the end and knocked us out of the playoff picture at least twice back in the 90s and early 2000s?

I don't hate the Saints, I really don't hate any team. I think it's pretty stupid when grown men get on here talking about how much they hate other grown men just because they play for a team in a different city. I usually dislike fan bases more than I do actually teams.

fug the falcons though, Seriously. fug their team, city, and fans.

Well at least now we all know you're "stupid".

    • Why are most NFL refs senior citizens lol
    • I can't speak to the sample size on the double ACL tears, I could look into it but I am unsure about the quality of data I am able to find. Anecdotally, I don't think that is common for sure.  Well one giant red flag for Dobbins is that of the 3-5 serious injuries he has had in his NFL career, 100% of them have been the same leg. That's not good and it doesn't bode well for his longevity at all. As I have said several hundred times in this forum(in this case it will be in regards to Thomas Davis), outliers are memorable for a reason....because they are outliers. You don't base your decision making on outliers. That's.....stupid. I am also not high on Etienne but he does play special teams and Brooks does not. Currently, I couldn't blame anyone in the FO for choosing a 3rd string RB that can play special teams and has actually played more than 23 career snaps in the NFL in 2+ seasons.  I am not advocating for cutting Brooks but I don't think it's a player I would consider for anything other than a 3rd string role(and likely competing for it, at that) if I am building a roster for 2026. It's not like they are going to get to see him at 100% in 2026.
    • I'm not going to argue against black helmets, but love our silver helmets. No one has anything similar. If you took all the logos off all 32 team's helmets, you could pick out our helmet easy.
