You are correct only the Opp W-L% is all that counts other than records in draft position and of course what level you lose during the playoffs

My mistake your right (didn't realize the Saints had 7 wins).

Technically, the best I think we can do is 3rd. Because the tie breaker would go all the way down to conference record and the Saints would have a better conference record.
