Lol at the love shown to Sanchez in this thread. Sure for a while he was looking like the real deal but he's regressed the past couple of seasons and has been largely inefficient. In fact if you compare his numbers this year to Orton's at the time of his benching in favor of The Golden Calf of Bristol you'll see that Sanchez is well below Orton's. There is a reason Sanchez was benched in the 1st place. Lol God forbid The Golden Calf of Bristol gets the start and he pull's well, a The Golden Calf of Bristol and wins the game.

Egg on face.

sanchez won so many games and led his team to the AFC championship game twice very early in his career.

that's almost unprecedented. guy is just a winner and you're a fool if you don't see it. lol at you going on about "numbers"-wins are all that matters and sanchez had a lot very, very early. keep jacking off to The Golden Calf of Bristol and his 8-8 broncos that backed in to the playoffs beating an overrated steeler team and then got cornholed in one of the worst playoff beatdowns ever by a real team and quarterback.

a team and quarterback that sanchez has defeated in the postseason by the way, LMFAO

Well dang, i guess players don't fall off. Poor Jake Delhomme. Shouldn't he still be the quarterback in Carolina? I mean he WAS successful early on too.

Bad Reporting.

The Golden Calf of Bristol never said he did not want to play a position. The only thing he said was that he expected he might get the start if Sanchez ever went down. Of course, you never miss an opportunity to go back to Cam. Cam, Cam, Cam, Cam, Cam, Cam, Cam. At least you are not obsessed with Cam or anything.

How many jerseys you own now?

I'm very close to 57 years old.

I remember the early days of the NFL and AFL merger.

I have watched this game for almost 50 years and I can honestly say during that time I have never seen a single player who doesn't start, who has no pedigree and a very limited skill set, a player who was drafted so high for so minimal talent, a player who's time in the league is passing quickly get so much press and so much attention.

I find it laughable that a guy's image has more bearing on his place in the NFL than his talent. If he were a party animal, drinking, swearing womanizer and a lousy QB, he would have been gone after a year.

There are 32 starting QBs in the league, all of whom are more relevant than The Golden Calf of Bristol. There are another 32 #2 QBs in the league, probably 25 of them more relevant than The Golden Calf of Bristol. That gives me 57 other QBs to talk about, but somehow he gets front page attention every week.

Let him go play in Canada, they'll probably let him wear 3:16 as a jersey number up there.....

I agree that he was drafted waaaaay too high.

However, it has been done before. Doug Flutie was a guy that kept getting chances because he was "a winner" in some coaches eyes. Just did not have the skill set to compete, same with The Golden Calf of Bristol. He should have been drafted in the third round and become a backup and wildcat/situational QB. I do not agree however that he sould be slandered by the papers just because of his faith.

With coaches, it doesn't.

With media, and with some fans, it does.

Explain the how's and why's he was drafted as high as he was.

Explain why he's still in the league.

Explain...

...if all that matters is ability and skill set; neither of which he is all that gifted with.

Josh McDaniels was an idiot.

Woody Johnson wanted to sell tickets (and honestly Sanchez sucks too).

Actually, NONE.

But at least The Golden Calf of Bristol gets to defend himself. I know for a fact Cam wouldn't have gotten a chance because they show they don't care for letting him tell his side.

Also, I'm a Jets fan.

He's selfish, overhyped, entitled, and a prima donna.

Dude cant throw the football but because of his image the world is supposed to stop for him? FOH. Im sure he's cashing his paycheck this morning but he thinks he can tell his coaches what he can and cant do? He'll be out of the league in 2 years.

Looked like a pretty good throw to me when he was beating the steelers in the playoffs

no coach has really given the kid a chance. If you let him run a fast paced offense like he did in all of those 4th quarter comebacks who knows he might not ever be playing from behind. But all the nfl experts think they know something and try to tell himwhat works for him. they were wrong about cam and they've been wrong about The Golden Calf of Bristol the whole time. I hope he goes to jax and gets a real shot at playing the game the way he knows how!

    • I can only imagine the **** eating grins on the committee right now. "Oh, Bama didn't deserve it? Oh, Miami didn't deserve it? Suck it, haters!" lol
    • To say that, is gaslighting, because it isn’t true. I mean, maybe one or two people do that but it isn’t the predominant behavior. Even Frank has given him credit. I think particularly the Rams game. A couple of glowing posts.   I know I have. Gotta be honest about it because if you aren’t it undermines what else you say.  But the degree of how far I go with credit, in terms of it being a projection of future performance? Not very far. Acknowledge it, but require more of it. There is a lot of bad play to offset.    I tried to remain passive while the last 9 games (post ankle injury) played out. It is just really hard when the lows won’t go away. I failed. As high as a couple of those highs were, there isn’t enough.    I know it is premature to just say I want to move on, made my decision after 6 of those games ended up pretty much really good or not good enough, but I have had enough of being patient and letting him show the reality either way.  So in my view, he Could still validate himself to a decent degree if he smokes the last three starts. But also in my view I don’t expect to see it. Maybe one more high quality start, would be my expectation. So yes he could still somehow justify having the job next year. If that happened I still wouldn’t have much faith given the last three years and all that has transpired. Again, there is a lot of bad play to offset.
    • To start with, you wouldn’t want to count up that value chart. You would see quickly where that is headed. But you basically did a quantity comparison, while ignoring quality.  I am looking at 2023 as the start, because it became all about Bryce.  2023 you have 4 picks plus DJ Moore for offense vs 2 (80 and 145) for defense.  2024 you got the 1st overall, the 32, the 46 and the 101 for offense vs 72, 157, 200 and 240 for defense. Leave the FA IOL out of it. Which was a crazy big  investment. But it wasn’t draft.  Anyway, that is basically 4 top 100 picks for offense and 4 picks for defense in 2024. Except they were 2 first rounders, the second rounder, and the 4th was really high at 101. Vs 72 and day three stuff. Please….  Second quoted/bolded… See you think we hate Bryce. That isn’t it at all. It is nice easy way to characterize us and discredit our talking points though.   Me, I do mostly hate watching him play. But I don’t hate the person. I hate the hell out of the stanning.  It started with the very first question I asked about his footwork, arm strength, and size. Height being the principle objection. I never even got to the durability factor. There was plenty without factoring that in.  But there was rabid opposition to even asking the question of what a couple of small fractions of a second extra closing time would do for the defenders.  What the extra time it takes to flip the hips would do vs a pass rush or on the other end after the ball is in the air. Split second more for recognition where it is going for the DBs.  The tippy toe backpedal.  That poo was a mess and it has always been mess but no Bryce fan wanted to hear it. “Go get another team to root for”. “It worked in the SEC it will be fine in the NFL you don’t know football you are just a hater”.  It got worse when the real games started. It has never stopped. It is nice that many people have left that train so there is less abuse but it hasn’t stopped.  So whatever…
