ROUND 1:

01. Chiefs: Geno Smith, QB, West Virginia - Andy Reid's hiring all but locks up this pick. Geno Smith is a great fit for Reid's offense and Andy has always put a premium on the QB position so this pick seems like more of a sure bet than ever.

02. Jaguars: Jarvis Jones, DE/OLB, Georgia - If only there were a QB worth taking here. Since there isn't, the Jags go pure BPA. Unless injury concerns push him down the board, that appears to be Jarvis Jones, who would be a good fit in any scheme.

03. Raiders: Star Lotulelei, NT, Utah - Looking down the list it seems unlikely the Raiders could find a trade partner unless they're willing to accept a lowball offer. Instead, they go the obvious route and take the best player available who also happens to fill a big need with Richard Seymour on the way out.

04. Eagles: Luke Joeckel, OT, Texas A&M - This seems like a very unpredictable pick given the uncertainty of the Eagles' coaching situation, but Joeckel is pretty clearly the BPA and the Eagles definitely need to shore up the left tackle spot regardless of who the QB is going to be.

05. Lions: Damontre Moore, DE, Texas A&M - The Lions have a lot of needs from OL to CB to RB to likely linebacker as well, but Cliff Avril will almost certainly cost too much to retain so the need that most closely matches value in this scenario is for a premiere pass rusher.

06. Browns: Bjoern Werner, DE/OLB, Florida State - The Browns hired an offensive-minded coach in Rob Chudzinski so the kneejerk reaction is to give them an offensive playmaker here, but there just isn't anyone really worth the pick and the Browns are pretty much set at tackle. If they can trade down, I see them doing so, but in this scenario there aren't any clear targets for any team to trade up for, therefore the Browns go for a pass rusher and hope that Werner bucks the trend of disappointing pass rushers from FSU.

07. Cardinals: Eric Fisher, OT, Central Michigan - This could be a landing spot for a QB - either Mike Glennon, Matt Barkley, or Tyler Wilson, but the fact is they can almost certainly get one of them in the 2nd round or by trading back into the 1st. Instead, they go with a blindside protector in Fisher for whoever they end up drafting later.

08. Bills: Tyler Wilson, QB, Arkansas - This is a tough one to call. QB is a big need, but any QB here is a reach. Still, they wouldn't be the first team to reach for a guy they feel has franchise QB potential and, IMO, Wilson comes the closest in this draft, and that includes Geno Smith.

09. Jets: Dion Jordan, DE/OLB, Oregon - The Jets success early in Rex Ryan's tenure was based on defense and they've gotten away from that the last two years. Here, they add a pass rusher to the mix to hopefully improve it.

10. Titans: DeMarcus Milliner, CB, Alabama - The Titans have the top-rated corner in the draft fall to them. Chance Warmack is a possibility as well, but corners generally outweigh guards in terms of value on draft day and we're talking two guys at the top of their positions here.

11. Chargers: Johnathan Hankins, DT, Ohio State - The Chargers desperately need to upgrade their offensive line, preferably at tackle first. However, with no viable tackle prospects on the board they instead opt to add Hankins, who is good value here. He'll fit whatever scheme the new Chargers coach decides to run.

12. Dolphins: Sheldon Richardson, DT, Missouri - The Dolphins may lose Randy Starks in free agency and if so Sheldon Richardson offers the best value based on their many needs.

13. Buccaneers: Johnthan Banks, CB, Mississippi State - The Bucs need a corner as badly as any team in the league and Banks is a great fit and proper value at 13th overall.

14. Panthers: Jesse Williams, DT, Alabama - The Panthers address arguably their biggest need and fill the nose tackle position by taking a guy who is rising and could overtake Jonathan Hankins as the #2 nose tackle prospect. He's certainly much more consistent and has played at a higher level against tougher competition in the SEC.

15. Saints: Barkevious Mingo, DE/OLB, LSU - The Saints need help all over their defense so any defensive player will do. Here, they opt to go with a hometown favorite in LSU's Mingo.

16. Rams: Chance Warmack, OG, Alabama - The Rams would rather land a tackle here, but there are none worth the pick. Instead, they shore up the interior of their line by taking the best guard in the draft in quite some time.

17. Steelers: Johnathan Jenkins, NT, Georgia - The Steelers need to get young at NT in a hurry and with Hankins and Williams off the board they go for the next best option in Jenkins.

18. Cowboys: Ezekiel Ansah, DE/OLB, BYU - If they bring in Monte Kiffin the Cowboys will likely switch to a 4-3 scheme on defense, but Ansah can rush the passer in a 3-4 or 4-3 defense.

19. Giants: Manti Te'o, LB, Notre Dame - The Giants have a big need at linebacker and with Te'o in free-fall after his performance against Alabama, they decide to take a chance that it was a rare blemish in an otherwise stellar college career.

20. Bears: Tyler Eifert, TE, Notre Dame - They need a left tackle, but they can get one in the 2nd round as good as anyone still on the board here. Instead, they add a TE. Apparently Lovie Smith was fired for not being able to build an offense; it seems likely the Bears will add more weapons on that side of the ball.

21. Bengals: Giovani Bernard, RB, North Carolina - Some would say this is a reach, but I don't think so. The 'law firm' is solid, but Bernard is stud in waiting and since when is having two solid backs a bad thing? This pick would give the Bengals their own 'triplets'.

22. Rams (f/WAS): Kenny Vaccaro, S, Texas - The Rams have a pretty good defense, but one spot they could use a big upgrade is at safety. With several options available, here they opt for Kenny Vaccaro.

23. Vikings: Cordarrelle Patterson, WR, Tennessee - The Vikings need help in the passing game in general, including a QB, IMO, but that's not likely to happen so they opt to go with a WR to give Christian Ponder some help. Patterson has a ton of potential, but is very raw. Still, his ceiling makes him a good option to be the first WR drafted.

24. Colts: Jonathan Cooper, OG/C, UNC - They need help along the OL in general and Cooper can play guard and center. They'd probably prefer a DT here, but they can find one in the 2nd as the top NT prospects have all gone off the board already.

25. Seahawks: Terrance Williams, WR, Baylor - They've got Russell Wilson now, but still need an upgrade at WR. There are several options here but I'll give them Williams here.

26. Packers: Alec Ogletree, ILB, Georgia - Everyone is giving the Packers a WR, but let's be honest here, they're a lot better off there even if Jennings leaves than they are anywhere on defense. A.J. Hawk has been average at best and awful as often as he's been that.

27. Texans: Justin Hunter, WR, Tennessee - Andre Johnson isn't getting any younger and they need someone opposite him anyway. Hunter is solid value at 28th overall.

28. Broncos: Barrett Jones, OG/C, Alabama - I'm tempted to give the Broncos a safety here after that piss poor excuse for pass defense at the end of regulation against the Ravens, but I'll stick with help up front. John Elway will sympathize with Peyton Manning and add Barrett Jones, a John Fox player if there ever was one.

29. Ravens: Keenan Allen, WR, California - The Ravens add a compliment to Torrey Smith and hopefully a long-term replacement for the aging Anquan Boldin.

30. Falcons: Sam Montgomery, DE, LSU - The Falcons need to upgrade their pass rush and Montgomery is the best defensive end left on the board.

31. Patriots: Da'Rick Rogers, WR, Tennessee Tech - The Pats badly need WR help with Wes Welker. If he leaves, they'll have an even worse group of WR's. Rogers has a lot of talent, but also character concerns. The Pats have shown that they don't mind overlooking that fact, however, if the talent is there.

32. 49ers: Tony Jefferson, S, Oklahoma - The 49ers are in pretty good shape, but Dashon Goldson is a free agent and Donte Whitner isn't anything special. Jefferson is one of several options at safety for them here.

ROUND 2:

33. Jaguars: Matt Barkley, QB, USC - Blaine Gabbert is terrible and Chad Henne is a stop-gap at best. This could be any one of the remaining top QB prospects, but Barkley gets the nod here.

34. Chiefs: DeAndre Hopkins, WR, Clemson - Andy Reid will want to give his new QB a weapon to throw to. Hopkins is arguably the best WR available, though as I said, arguments can be made for other prospects as well.

35. Eagles: Matt Elam, S, Florida - The Eagles defense was awful. They could use help at several positions, but particularly in the secondary.

36. Lions: Xavier Rhodes, CB, Florida State - The Lions have needed a CB forever it seems. Here they finally address that need with a high pick.

37. Bengals (f/OAK): Alex Okafor, DE, Texas - The Bengals defense is solid, but you can never have too many pass rushers.

38. Cardinals: Mike Glennon, QB, N.C. State - The Cardinals take their QB of the future in the 2nd round after taking his blindside protector in round 1 in Eric Fisher.

39. Browns: Jordan Reed, TE, Florida - Rob Chudzinski loves throwing to his TE's and Reed is just the type of player he'd love to have at the position.

40. Jets: Tyler Bray, QB, Tennessee - Rex Ryan has to realize that he must do something about the QB position in order to save his job in N.Y.

41. Titans: Dallas Thomas, OG/OT, Tennessee - The Titans opted to go CB in the 1st round, meaning they still have a big need on the interior of their offensive line.

42. Bills: Kevin Minter, LB, LSU - The Bills get good value with Minter in the 2nd round. Linebacker is certainly a need for them.

43. Dolphins: Lane Johnson, OT, Oklahoma - They weren't able to address the tackle spot in the 1st, so they take the best one available in the 2nd round.

44. Buccaneers: David Amerson, CB, N.C. State - The Bucs go back-to-back on the cornerback position with Banks in the 1st and Amerson in the 2nd.

45. Panthers: Logan Ryan, CB, Rutgers - Chris Gamble could be cut and while Josh Thomas looks like a starter on one side, we're iffy on the other.

46. Saints: Kawann Short, DT, Purdue - The Saints went for a pass rusher in round 1 and here look to solidify the interior DL.

47. Chargers: Oday Aboushi, OT, Virginia - The Chargers have to upgrade their offensive line pretty much across the board and it starts with a tackle here.

48. Rams: C.J. Mosley, OLB, Alabama - The Rams have two linebacker spots basically filled, but have a gaping hole at the third. Mosley is good value here.

49. Cowboys: Larry Warford, OG, Kentucky - The Cowboys have their tackles in place, but they really need help on the interior OL.

50. Steelers: Eric Reid, S, LSU - Continuing the youth movement on defense with a safety.

51. Giants: Margus Hunt, DE, SMU - The Giants can never seem to get enough pass rushers and Osi is a free agent anyway. It's a safe bet they'll add one early in the draft.

52. Bears: Ricky Wagner, OT, Wisconsin - The Bears would like to address the tackle spot earlier than this, but that's just not the way things shake out here.

53. Redskins: Jordan Poyer, CB, Oregon State - The Skins look to upgrade their secondary with this pick.

54. Vikings: Bennie Logan, DT, LSU - This is great value for the Vikes here. They need to address the DT position and this is just the draft to do it in with such a deep class.

55. Bengals: Tavon Austin, WR, West Virginia - The Bengals look for a compliment to A.J. Green here.

56. Dolphins (f/IND): Robert Woods, WR, USC - Even if they end up signing Greg Jennings or another WR in free agency they'll still have a need here.

57. Packers: Joseph Randle, RB, Oklahoma State - The Packers are too one-dimensional; they need to quit relying so much on mediocre backs and get a guy who can carry the load and also be a factor in the passing game.

58. Seahawks: Joseph Fauria, TE, UCLA - The 'Hawks continue to add weapons for Russell Wilson.

59. Texans: Shayne Skov, ILB, Stanford - Brian Cushing is coming off an injury and the other spot is up in the air anyway. They'll have to address this position.

60. Broncos: Sharrif Floyd, DT, Florida - The Broncos get tremendous value here in Floyd, who is a legitimate threat to go in the 1st round.

61. Ravens: Kevin Reddick, ILB, North Carolina - A replacement for Ray Lewis he isn't, but the Ravens will have to address the hole one way or the other.

62. Falcons: Eddie Lacy, RB, Alabama - The Falcons have to start thinking about life after Michael Turner. It could come much sooner than they expect.

63. Patriots: Sylvester Williams, DT, North Carolina - The Pats go straight BPA here and get great value with a guy who could very well go in the 1st round.

64. 49ers: Stedman Bailey, WR, West Virginia - The 49ers took A.J. Jenkins in the 1st round last year but he looks like a bust in the making. In any event, Bailey is a slot guy in the NFL so even if Jenkins turns it around they'll still be adding a guy who can contribute as the 3rd receiver.
