In fairness, he's probably right about that, but Fox also said if he had it to do over again, he'd still have called for the kneel downs that he did "ten out of ten times".

Peyton's inability to challenge the Ravens deep let them back into the game. I would hazard to guess that cold weather had an effect on his nerve damage, because he stopped trying to throw anything that required heat until that fateful last snap.

Listen, we know what Fox is. He's a good coach that plays a style that makes it difficult to win against good teams consistently. You can't just keep it close and try to play mistake free anymore. He'll take the kneel downs and play for overtime forever, apparently. He did it in 04 against the Falcons here, and he did it this weekend in Denver. Playing not to lose is playing to get beat. I just hope Rivera figures that out.

Fox in Denver is still the same Fox that was in Carolina. He's the most conservative coach in the NFL. He's not gonna let something like an overtime playoff loss change him, nuh-uhh.

i get a feeling that just like here, he peaked in year 2.

he's a fast starter, then feels that he's established himself and then keeps trying to do the same thing the same way with the same people only to see diminishing returns...but hey, it's been proven to work at some point, why change?
