Long time special teams coach. Good reputation that suffered a little under the Mongolian cluster that was the Eagles 2012 season. Used to coach against us when he was with the Saints.

April has been my second favorite candidate for the ST job behind Dave Toub.

He's actually been a head coaching candidate in the past, and you've gotta think a big reason he's still on the market while Crossman was hired is that he was passed over for the interim spot for Fewell. Bitter.

Lots of connections with current staff

Joined the Eagles staff the last year that McDermott was there, so they've worked directly together. Also worked two years with Ray Brown (Bills) and coached two years with the Rams when Proehl was still a player there. His most extensive experience is with OL Coach John Matsko, three years at the pro level (Rams) in addition to one at the college level.(Arizona in 86).

April is my number 1 ST coach option...he is a mainstay and has seen it all. This may work out well after all.
