heh I usually do both too, but occasionally I'll only rep if it was funny or something, rather than a good point or something I fully agree with.

i generally rep for a solid, well-articulated or concise point and pie for something hilarious or witty or pithy. if a post is well-artulated/concise enough or hilarious/witty/pithy enough it warrants both regardless which it is more of. other times i abandon those rules and pie/rep based on which one instinctively feels good. sometimes if someone has ten pie i'll just add onto it, sometimes i'll just add rep to be different. sometimes i neg rep trucatzfan just for being trucatzcan. sometimes trucatzfan says something miraculously lucid and i pie him for it. sometimes i wish i could pie myself.
