How much better is cam vs. the 3-4 than the 4-3?

So...nothing too conclusive, IMO. I think the 3-4 would be more susceptible to the power run game, though. If we get that going next year, the Saints will be easy pickens.

I think the Saints are going 3-4 because the looks are known to confuse quarterbacks presnap reads. The falcons for one have had problems against the 3-4 when it mattered. Plus, we have a quarterback heavy division so switching to the 3-4 makes sense when they have to purge most of their roster anyways.

4-3 or 3-4, it won't matter. the saints just suck at stopping the run.

Either of those guys would be, good hires for them. They'd still need OLBs for passrush though.

oh i know that. i saw a comment some saints fan made that they were switching to a 34 because of cam and the other QBs in the NFCS, but i remembered that he has done well against them and it just got me wondering about how well he does.

They have a lot of pressure to fix it and changing things up to see if you can get better results makes sense. Doesn't mean it will work but it makes sense. Wonder how much they have for free agents and in dead cap space by releasing veterans who don't fit the scheme.

yeah, the reason for changing isn't all that important to me. it will be interesting to see what kind of finagling they'll have to do to make it happen. they've got more of a cap mess than we do.
