Stedman Bailey - Why the low rating?

Have not seem him rated any higher than the 6th best receiver in the draft but he led the NCAA with 25 TD catches tied for 2nd in receptions and was third in yards.

If he was over 6 feet tall he would be the first receiver off the board. Positives great route runner, good hands and gets open in time spots.

all I see him providing us with is quick screen passes and run after. We already have that in Joe Adams/AE/Pilares

Mostly it's his size but its also because he isn't insanely athletic to make up for his lack of size like Austin is. Was a very productive wr at wvu as the stats will show. I have seen multiple draft guys say he has the best hands in the draft

He's small, and he's not a great athlete. He's smart, polished, and has great hands, but he's not going to totally change your offense. There's worse things, though. I'm personally a fan, but it's tough to make room for him on a team with so many developmental projects at receiver.

After watching a bunch of highlights of Tavon Austin and Stedman Bailey, Austin may be the better athlete, but Bailey is a fantastic receiver. It has been said about a bunch of guys that have come out in the draft in the past, and none of them were right, but, Stedman Bailey is a Steve Smith replica. The way he plays is identical to Steve. Their highlight films matched against each other are uncanny. Even the aggressive blocking and acrobatic catches are the same. This guy would be a real get in the 2nd. He can, and will, be a #1 receiver in the NFL.
