its the truth, tho. that was his role with the team for a long time before being named GM. for several years prior he had shared the job with a football guy while hurney was the cap guy.

During the draft a couple years ago Polian had very glowing things to say in regards to how Hurney conducted things... iirc he also referred to him as his good friend...

Polian knew Hurney was a cap guy - not a football guy. Hurney had not gone through the discipline of being a coach, scout, etc...

A month ago, I would have given this about a 10% chance of happening.

Now, a month before the draft, I give it a 60% chance.

We have to give Cam his weapons.

We have to protect Cam.

As Polian said, the Panthers go as Cam goes. DT does not help Cam get better. An OG does, a WR does.
