I wear a G-Shock daily because it gets the crap beat out of it at work and I think you'd have to put it in a vise to stop it.

 

I have an 8-year old Tommy Bahama I wear when I need to dress for an occasion. I'll never spring any major bucks on a watch as much as I do admire them-

My wife bought a Rolex in 1998 as a graduation present to herself. Did a service as scheduled but it is basically still out of the box new. We have since bought an Omega (male for Christmas before kids). And a Brietling for her (anniversary gift). She wears her rol x daily and omega on weekends. I leave the omega in a safe and wear Swatch watches. Those things are great, stylish and fairly inexpensive. Not sure where they are sold in US but if u go to Europe and Asia they are all over the place.

For 500, not sure what you can do, but I would look for a used Breitling on electronic bay dot com.

 

 

I've had one for 6-7 years (bought new) and absolutely love their watches.

Yep...at least better than my current Fossil, lol.

Both are Eco-Drive and well within my price range.

I like both, but would choose the top one because the color is more veraitile, IMO.

Silver with blue/black face goes with anything, and looks good.

Tough call, I love the face of the silver & blue one but never liked those bracelets while the band on the black one is so much better.

 

Id probably end up learning to like the silver band.
