just out of curiosity and as a companion/follow-up to that thread by OnlyPantherFaninMaine.

probably a beating of a dead horse for some, but you know at least that dead horse will be tender when you throw it on the grill.

anyway....

for me, warmack just because he's a guard. not a crucial enough piece for a team with holes in so many areas. if we were more set across the board...maybe, but not for us. not at #14.

that's my opinion, anyway. take it for the pile of dorito crumbs it is.

if i wasn't so blindly anti-OG in the first round, i'd be right there with you.

My favorite part of the Gettleman presser, apart from the "HOGMOLLY" reference, was his opinion that most often postions of need are already on your roster and you just have to coach them up. I can not descibe how good that feels coming from our tenured pro scout talent evaluator boss man. He has positioned us for BPA like hurnia never ever did.

Its a show and im propped up with my popped corn and ice cold sweet tea. Feels good man, really good.

I don't have a name, but I will say that I don't want us to draft a bust or someone that will be injury prone or lack the drive and determination to be successful.

Obviously this won't be determined for awhile. I just hope we pick a solid starter from day 1 as everyone else here does.

    • We have without question one of the worst QB rooms in the league and your key concern is people having the audacity to be talking about it lol.
    • I saw this list crossing the screen waiting for any Panther.  Chubba, JC Horn and Hunt.  It was a crime to see so many that were not as good as these three.  ESPN is garbage anyhow.
    • Bingo!  We are on the same page.  Our scouting department was average under Hurney, but at least we hit hit it out of the park with our first rounders.  Our scouting department under Tepper's reign with his revolving doors of HCs and GMs has sucked because the scouts largely stay in place.  One or two may change every few years, but the core philosophy stays in place and I believe that to be heavily RAS influenced.    Looking the part of a football player (physical/athletic measurables) vastly outweighs putting on the tape and deep diving into his stats with our scouting department. Until we change that mindset, this team is doomed. Again, how many of us Huddlers (none of us are professional scouts) wanted McConkey over Legette? Yet, we went with XL.  Why?  RAS score, pure and simple.  If you put on the tape and look at the numbers without taking RAS into account, McConkey was the clear choice.
