100 posts required to start new thread

you put any thought into into email verification to join or something to stop/slow down efforts for morons to come in and start spamming threads?

 

maybe something as simple as a max # of posts allowed the first day someone joins or until they reach a certain number of posts? not even sure if that can be done.

 

i know you don't even like doing the post min. to start a thread or really doing anything to censor others, but I'm just thinking of something to slow down the next step a douche like whoever it was spamming the forum last night might take.

 

it will make things a bit difficult for new members with good intentions, but i think overall it would help keep keep the forum cleaned up from douche blitzkriegs. 

 

 

We do have that to some extent. 

But how hard is it to make a new email?

 

I have had to set up ban filters before that are just absolutely absurd. 

 

To the point I just have to keep banning the person or ban the an entire area of the USA.

last night some moron went on a stupid thread creating rampage rampage including including two where he claimed to be bwood and panther nation and one or two "calling out" other posters.

 

it was dumb. not sure how long it continued, but it was going on pretty late.

Pretty sure you need to verify it.

Zod sets that stuff up tho, I just do the bare bones basic admin things.

 

I do know we had a few hundred un-verified's awhile back and I made them members, minus anything that looked trollish.

I'm not going to lie, when the report emails were rolling in last night and buzzing on my phone, I was busy drinking dos equis and banging my wife.

 

And if given the choice, I'd throw you to the wolves again.

You should have people verify with their Facebook accounts. Then if they are complete garbage you can call them out on Facebook. The rest will handle itself while they get ridiculed on there.
