I wonder what Jeff Otah is doing these days

So who wants to sign John Kasay as our new kicker?

Oh and would you invite Julius Peppers back for the right price?

I wish Muhsin Muhammad was still our #2 receiver...

Your response is irrational, and basically a failed attempt at sarcasm. I shouldn't have to explain it, but I'll humor you. Kasay and Muhammad are retired. We saw their best days, and we saw their natural decline as they aged. Both quality players I might add, but their football career is over.  We don't need a DE, thankfully we have two excellent starters (and one rotational guy) who are either in, or on the verge of the prime of their careers. Peppers is on the decline, not to mention signed.

Otah is still relatively young, and, in theory, should have more than a few good years left. He would also come cheap with few strings, and G-man wouldn't have to give Otah any more assurances than he gives any other player trying to make the team. Like I said in the OP, it would be worth giving him a call if his health (knee) and head are prepared for the rigors of football. If not, then it obviously is not an idea worth exploring further. The O-line is still a question mark, and we should all know that a healthy Otah would solve a lot of problems in regards to protecting Cam and creating holes for our running backs, just like he did in his rookie season.

Of course the point is probably moot because nobody has heard anything about him, which probably means that Otah isn't ready to resume his career (if he'll ever be ready). But, even if that was the case, it would be interesting to some of us just to know what Otah is up to (hence, the thread title).

I was moreso calling out the people who seem to bring up this kind of thing once or twice a week (and yes, I have read posts about bringing back Otah on at least 5 different occasions), but I suppose you can interpret it how you wish.
