RG3 cheating scandal

Sin by it's true definition makes it incapable of being "large" or "small" meaning all sin, again, by it's true definition, would be equal.

Jesus disagrees.

“You would have no power over me if it were not given to you from above. Therefore the one who handed me over to you is guilty of a greater sin.”

context, please...

John 19:11

10Then said Pilate to him, Speak you not to me? know you not that I have power to crucify you, and have power to release you? 11Jesus answered, You could have no power at all against me, except it were given you from above: therefore he that delivered me to you has the greater sin. 12And from thereafter Pilate sought to release him: but the Jews cried out, saying, If you let this man go, you are not Caesar's friend: whoever makes himself a king speaks against Caesar. …

There are two schools of thought about sin. You abide by one and others abide by the other. The church I was raised in acknowledges differences.

It's all horseshit anyways so I'll see you all in hell.

I don't think the issue is about sin (though some have an issue with that as well).

I think it's more about the media double standard, and the fact that this guy couldn't keep his thoughts/intentions in his head (and presumably, his jimmy in his pocket), while recently married and in public.

It's not just the cheating. It's him.

Exactly.

Sorry guys, didn't mean to turn this into a moral/religous debate.

Anyway, I say lay off the kid....unless you walk on water that is.

That's all I have to say about that - Forrest..Forrest Gump

This isn't a question of his morals, but how he can completely sidestep any mainstream media scrutiny and yet our quarterback who has been by all accounts squeaky clean off the field is subjected to endless ridicule and criticism.

Yeah I know. Anybody that causes another to sin is the greater sin, is basically what Jesus was saying.

So...does anybody know what phone RG3 has?

I agree on that issue. I was directing my comment to those who were berating him for the act itself. I agree that Cam Newton is held to a different standard by the media but who gives a rats ass....he's our guy so they all can kiss my ass. Everyone should be use to the negative spin on Cam all the time by now. Bitching about it won't change a damn thing. Hell I would even bet if he won the SB MVP the media would still blast him for something. It's time to let it go fellas.

This

I could care less about RG3 and his sexlife. The fact that this may not get covered by mainstream media also doesn't surprise me. It is just further proof to me that the media picks and chooses its stories and/or engages in straight up propaganda. If Cam picked his nose you know we would know about it while his fingers are still digging :-)

being a philandering pussy hound hasn't hurt michael jordan's reputation

the shield is up around RGIII and it has been since he was drafted.  even if this thing does blow wide open he'll issue an apology and it'll be shrugged off as a "personal issue".

Jordan played in basically a different world....

Jordan wouldn't of been Jordan if he came through today. They wouldn't of been able to build him up into the icon he became....

    • To kick this up, The Athletic has a really comprehensive piece out where pretty much all QB questions are addressed. It is worth seeing.  https://www.nytimes.com/athletic/7083539/2026/03/04/starting-quarterback-projections-free-agency-draft/?source=user_shared_article I’m putting something specific here but it should have a thread or something. It is an extensive exercise.  This is a dense write up with a lot of column inches used, about the Jets and Murray and Reich, all this stuff.. then it goes to backup QB and there is Dalton.  I am pasting that part: As for Dalton, Reich is installing the offense he was trying to run in Carolina in 2023 before he got fired, and Dalton was with the Panthers then; he’s an ideal option as a veteran backup to replace Taylor. Reich said this about Dalton in 2023: “The way he's throwing the football, the way he works through progressions, the way he handles the operation. … Since day one (when) he walked in the door, I'm like, 'This guy is starter-worthy.' You guys know I've said that all along. He's, in my opinion, one of the best 32 quarterbacks in the world.” ——— That’s true love lol. I never heard any of this. Pretty crazy I think, considering how the year went.   Anyway the dream is not dead. .
    • The Seahawks traded for wide receiver/returner Rashid Shaheed at the trade deadline. He proved to be a key acquisition. Shaheed returned a punt and a kickoff for touchdowns in the regular season and had a 95-yard kickoff return in the postseason. Shaheed, though, is scheduled for free agency. So, the 12 games he played, including the postseason, might be the extent of his time in Seattle. Adam Schefter of ESPN reports that Shaheed and the Seahawks are not close to an extension, and the expectation is that the two-time Pro Bowler will hit free agency. Shaheed has 153 receptions for 2,243 yards and 12 touchdowns in his four-year career to go along with three punt return touchdowns and a kickoff return touchdown. He ranks 13th on PFT’s top-100 free agents. https://www.nbcsports.com/nfl/profootballtalk/rumor-mill/news/report-rashid-shaheed-appears-headed-to-free-agency
