L-Towns camp observations day 3

Naw, it wasn't like that. DBs were working on jumping routes.

Gettis was streaking down the sideline. DA threw almost perfectly, but the ball seemed to hang forever. I think it was Norman, can't remember, jumped for the ball at the same time Gettis stretched for it. Gettis hit the ground. Norman landed on top of him.

Norman jumped up and called for a trainer.

I didn't see a horse collar. I saw two guys collide in the air, then again on the ground.

Ok; kool/thanks.

I'm liking what I've seen. This was one of the best practices I've ever been to. I have to say guys I'm probably more excited than I should be but I don't care. Far as Im concerned this team looks ready to make its move.

Anyway, this is just one mans opinion, I'm sure someone saw today completely different. Hope this is helpful.

The nice thing is that the opinions that we are reading are pretty much on one accord (at least from Huddle regulars).  There are a few inconsistencies about the Cameron kid at QB, but I'm more apt to believe Huddlers than others.

Like you, I realize that it's not quite rational to get overly excited by day 3, but I can't help but be excited by all the talk of KB on offense and KK on defense looking explosive; Godfrey, Klein and Florence being on the middle of the play;  AE, Adams and Ginn actually making some catches; and, not to mention a Brandon Williams sighting.  Moreover, you can't help but think that perhaps G-man was absolutely correct in his assertion that he can spot and bring in talent no matter the round (if a round at all) with the apparently great value picks in Barner, Klein and Lester.  Throw in the Gaydosh, Ginn and Blackburn in the midst of an already talented talented team and it appears that G-man knows how to put a team together. And, with the players already playing with attitude by day 3, you gotta feel that there is something going on behind the scenes: motivation powered by Rivera.

Let's hope that it continues.

were they running mainly nickel packages or were they running with 4 dbs?

just trying to get a feel for tbe defense. we have such a great front 7 now, it would be a shame not totake advantage of it because we have to flood the field with DBs to compensate for lack of talent.

2 DBs and 2 S's. they had the true base d out there. They did run some nickel though.

I think it was Norman who "mugged" Gettis. although all of the other tweets i saw just said that Gettis fell and Norman fell on top of him

That one happened right in front of me. There was a lot of contact and as Gettis tried to leap he was dragged down from behind. He still almost caught it too.

that's what it's been sounding like. i really want to see our front seven on the field  but i also really don't  want to see our secondary hanging out there with just four guys. i just really dont trust the back four. i hope the pass rush is something special because a secondary like this is the type that gives up points and loses games.

want to hear more GREAT poo about the d-line.........

Everyone within ear shot knew every d-lineman's name and was openly referring to the group as MonsterzInc.

At one point in the new wrap up drills Kraken picked CJ up over his head with full arm extension and carried him back about 7 yards. I yelled for him to take it easy we need them both.
