Roster move (reserve TE)

Zack Pianalto was a great TE at UNC... The problem is he had a hard time staying healthy (and really after his injuries he wasn't the same player)

Rivera said Rosario couldn't hold up at the point of attack. So it all came down to blocking

I was a big fan of Pianalto while he was at UNC. Unfortunately for Zack, he struggled with injuries.

I still remember when Zack jumped up after a touchdown celebration and dislocated a bone in his foot.

He's had injuries such as a fractured leg, dislocated bone in his foot, concussions, and a fractured fibula in the span of two seasons...

I don't know why he still plays to be honest.

Stoked.  Pianalto was GREAT at UNC.  Had some unfortunate injuries, but nothing recurring.  Hopefully just bad luck.  We're obviously looking for a better receiving option at TE because that's what Pianalto was at UNC - a receiving TE.

Edit:  Weird that they're talking about blocking and went out and signed Pianalto.  He's not a terrible blocker by any means, but he's definitely a receiving TE.

    • Well he quickly deflected the question about Rico's "almost 7 YPC." He is very polished and he transitioned well to non-answers and side steps. I can see why a guy like him was able to pull the wool over on guys like Tepper.
    • 31st rushing D and 8 carries by Rico is coaching.  Rico is easily the best offensive weapon right now and it’s not really close.  *literally everyone knows Dalton is washed, horrible and shouldn’t even be a backup QB.   Drive 1? ZERO carries.  Coaching.  Drive 2 - Rico was playing great.   Did Canales lean into that or go for “balance”? Coaching. Drive 3 - ZERO carries.  Coaching  Drive 4 - 1 carry and opted for Jimmy Horn gadget rush (you can’t stick  with the Horn repetitive gadget runs each week and that’s not a better idea than getting Rico going)  Drive 5 - basically Dalton heavy as the half expired.  I don’t need to watch a game to know it’s coaching.  The gameplan wasn’t about setting Rico up to go off on a trash rush D.  It was bullshit harmony balance of the rush and the pass and making Hubbard feel good.
    • In the locker room after the Dallas game, multiple  players said FEED him when Canales mentioned Rico stats. That already made me think even the locker room wouldn't care if Rico got the touches rn. This is on Canales indeed and I agree n the Qb take.  We aren't winning  bc of Bryce  but he has been managing it. Had the Jets had Qb aptitude,  we could've probably  lost that game too. All they would've needed is 14 points. Regardless, we got a team  that's being built up and that position needs an overhaul.  If ww lock in to Bryce, it'd be no different  than the 49ers locking into Purdy. Can't do it!
