I dont understand the Jake hate, I love me some Jake.  Did he cost us some games? Yeah.  Did he lead us to the Super Bowl? Hell yeah.  Was I mad about he Arizona playoff game? Hell yeah.  Did I shed a tear when Jake starting crying after we cut him? HELL FUGGING YEAH.

 

Jake is STILL the best QB we ever had.  

 

I love Jake for 2003 and 2004 but he really only had 3 good  seasons maybe 4 tops. But he did essentially lose the game against ARZ and lose our teams mojo for 3 years. But I also blame Fox for keeping Jake out there. He should have been benched and put Moore in to at least give us hope.

 

I always thought Jakes problem was complacency. He never had true competition until Moore came along. Matt was better than Jake the moment he stepped on the field in 2007 against Dallas. But Fox wasn't a Moore guy and always defaulted to Jake. Problem was Jake had Smitty syndrome and when he had tommy john he lost that little bit of zip he had to force those tight throws.

 

Still say his best year was 2004.

That*...If you're going to insult someone, make sure you use proper grammar. I've been a fan since 95 when I went to Belks at Eastland Mall and waited for the first Panthers t-shirts.

Why didn't you get the first Panthers t-shirts in 1993, when they went on sale?

Owning the jersey of a player that led you to a Superbowl, led you to another NFC championship game, and loved this team with everything he had isnt a bad thing. I'm going to go put on my 17 jersey now.
Maybe 5 years from now I can look back at his career here and forget aboit the Cardinals game. But until then I will hold on to my grudge against him. My #17 jersey will stay in my closet until then.

First, if you make Jake jokes they're like 4 years passed their expiration date and it makes you look dumb.

If you own a Clausen jersey you are either a super hardcore fan, an extreme collector, a cheap fan who buys clearance, or a Notre Dame alumn. No exceptions.
